Tobacco is one of the most widespread economic crops in the world,especially in China,both its planting area and yield are the highest in the world.From tobacco planting,to the processing and production of cigarette products,there will be a large amount of discarded tobacco leaves produced.It not only wastes manpower and material resources,but also pollutes environment to destroy discarded tobacco leaves.Tobacco leaves contain a large amount of alkaloids,solanesol,fragrance ingredients and so on.To extract and use these substances will bring some economic benefits for the enterprise,particularly the tobacco flavoring products.It can not only be directly added into tobacco leaves,but also can be used for perfume,cosmetics,etc.,which will produce more added value.Based on the above backgrounds,this research extracted and separated volatile components of discarded dry tobacco leaves by using acetone soxhlet extraction method,ultrasonic assisted solvent extraction method,ultrasonic assisted water extraction-hydrodistillation-ether extraction method and headspace separation method.These samples were analyzed by using GC and GC-MS methods.The ultrasonic assisted water extraction-hydrodistillation-ether extraction method was determined to be an optimal extraction method for analyzing volatile components in tobacco leaves.By using this sample prepare method,88 compounds were identified in discarded dry tobacco leaves and 75 compounds were identified in discarded fresh tobacco leaves.Considering the actual demands of a certain Yunnan enterprise to develop comprehensive utilization technology of discarded tobacco leaves,this paper has set up an effective and simple GC analysis method to monitor volatile aroma components during the process of developing comprehensive utilization technology of discarded tobacco leaves,with nicotine and neophytadiene as the main quantitative production indicators.The volatile components of tobacco condensate obtained in the comprehensive utilization process of discarded tobacco leaves are analyzed by GC-MS.All this work was done in order to provide some theoretical basis for the enterprise to develop comprehensive utilization technology.of discarded tobacco leaves.In addition,after concentration and extraction by ether,volatile components in the two kinds of solutions collected during flue-curing were analyzed by using GC-MS.35 kinds of compounds were identified in the solution collected in the first process of flue-curing,among which there were at least 14 kinds of aroma components.And 65 compounds were identified in the solution collected during redrying process,among which there were at least 18 kinds of aroma components or precursors.At last but not the least,by comparing the chemical class and relative content of volatile components in the above four samples,we qualitatively discussed the evolution of aroma components in flue-curing process,which changed fresh tobacco leaves into flue-cured tobacco leaves.
