Most of wires and cables,adopted ordinary chemical compounds such as PVC,PE,crosslinked polyolefin as insulation and sheath,under the condition of high temperature and heavy load are burning,and release a lot of poisonous and harmful gas,to the body and the surrounding environment "secondary hazards".In this paper,a kind of flame retardant,low smoke and good mechanical properties of PVC cable materials was studied.Based on the ordinary PVC cable materials(J-70)as the formula based system,the effect of zinc borate and antimony trioxide eight ammonium molybdate and other flame retardants and the amount of chlorinated paraffin flame retardant plasticizer on flame retardant and mechanical properties was studied.Using the orthogonal design method,the association effect between different flame retardants was reasearched.The proportion of all kinds of flame retardants added and the formulation and performance of the developed flame retardant cable materials were analyzed.The formulation of the cable material with good flame retardant properties is: J-70 powder 100 trees,DioctylPhthalate 40,epoxidized soybean oil(3,20 of magnesium hydroxide and aluminum hydroxide 20,calcium zinc stabilizer five copies,zinc borate 8,8 4 copies of ammonium molybdate,antimony trioxide,chlorinated paraffin October 6.The mechanical properties and electrical properties of the developed formula cables are higher than the requirements of the j-70 PVC insulating materials in GB/T 8815-2008 standard,and the oxygen index is 35%,which meets the requirements of the refractory materials.The vertical combustion reached the v-0 level and the horizontal combustion reached the HB level.The density of smoke reaches 210,that meets the standard requirements.It shows that many kinds of flame retardant agents work together and play a certain synergisticeffect.The material cost performance of various materials is high,which has strong operability and market competitiveness.
