Study Of The Cable Materials Of Flame Retardant PVC

With the development of the industry,the demands of the cable materials increased.Most of sheathe and insulator are made from the organic polymers.This materials are very easily to flame in high pressure,heat,high temperature and oxygen content.And they will release large of poisonous gas when fire broken out.The poisonous gas will bring the secondary harm to human and the environment.So in order to meet the demands of the environmental protection and protect the human health,the new type of polyvinyl chloride?PVC?cable materials is one of the focus investigations in the field of cable.This subject mainly research the flame retardant of polyvinyl chloride cable materials formula,and to determine the cable material formulation of the system:PVC as the base material,plasticizer DOP blends with chlorinated paraffin,CaCO₃ as filler,calcium zinc compound as heat stabilizer,and with Sb₂O_3,ZB,Al?OH?₃ as fire retardant system of synergy.In the experiment,we also compared the different formulations of fire-retardant performance and mechanical performance.we preliminary discussed the association effect of collaborative system,and achieve the goal of preparing high performance of PVC cable materials.Experiments results showed that the flame retardant effect is best when Sb₂O₃ was added 8 or so;Zinc borate is a kind of very good synergistic flame retardant and optimal amount was 8;Al?OH?₃ both had the effect of flame retardant and smoke suppression,around 30 fraction in formula was better.In this study,we chose the DOP blends with chlorinated paraffin as plasticizer,optimal amount was 50.In this study choose CaCO₃ filler,number is 80.Thermal stabilizer was calcium zinc compound with a share of6.According to the recipe and preparation of test samples performance testing,through the analysis of test data,the experimental results show that?1?mechanical properties and electrical performance of the cable is higher than that of GB/T 8815-2008 standard of J-70 type PVC insulation material requirements.?2?the cable material of oxygen index is 32,has reached the requirement of flame retardant materials.?3?the cable material burning level reached the FV 0.?4?the cable material of smoke density of 210,the biggest 250 has reached the standard requirements.
