The preliminary experimental results of the phenomenon of cutting mutation which can reverse the traditional cutting control point of view show that the effect of chip removal angle has great influence on the cutting process and processing quality.It is a prerequisite for rational use of the mathematical model of the chip cutting experiment to find out its occurrence rule by the cutting experiment of the system,and it is also necessary to perfect the cutting control theory.The main contents are as following:First of all,the bifurcation data is obtained by digital simulation based on the cutting power model of the zero angle rake derived from the predecessors.Then,the least squares method is used to obtain the bifurcation equation,and then the nonzero angle When the cutting power model of the tool is crossed,the bifurcation data is obtained by the same method,and then the bifurcation equation of the rake angle 10 degree and 20 degree is fitted,which lays the foundation for the next experiment.The two kinds of workpiece,such as concave cone and convex cone,are designed respectively.The cutting width is changed from large to small and continuously changed from small to large,and the chip of the 6061 aluminum alloy bar.In this paper,we propose the method of fitting the standard bifurcation equation and the potential function of the chipmaking angle mutation according to the experimental data of the mutation condition.By using the same idea,the rake angles are 10 o and 20 o doubleblade turning machine 6061 aluminum alloy bar,the critical conditions of the chip fault and the influence of the mutation on the chip morphology and cutting force were obtained.The experiment also found that the cutting catastrophe phenomenon has certain repetitive,cutting speed is also the control parameter of the phenomenon.While the cutting catastrophe phenomenon will not be observed when cutting speed exceeds a certain critical value.According to the experimental data,with the help of the GA algorithm,three different types of chip flow angle catastrophe models can be obtained without considering the influence of cutting speed(f and aw are control parameters).After comparison,it is found that the fitting accuracy of exponential form is the highest.Considering the influence of cutting speed,three different types of chip flow angle catastrophe models can be obtained in the same way,and the fitting accuracy of the first-order form is the highest.
