Fibre reinforced composites are widely used in the automotive industry,sports equipment,aerospace and other fields because of its excellent comprehensive performance of low specific gravity,high specific strength and high corrosion resistance.The composites made by traditional manufacturing process are laminated plate structures which are two-dimensional structures,This is only connected by the resin matrix and no reinforcing fiber causes weak performance and poor shear resistance in the sandwich,when subjected to external impact load,prone to inter laminar fracture severely degrade the performance of the composite.About sewing,reinforcing fibers can be introduced to form a three dimensional structure in the thickness direction of the composite material so as to have excellent inter-layer performance and impact damage tolerance.This project is to design a three-dimensional sewing machine,which could achieve the suture of the direction of composite prepreg thickness,making composite material having a three-dimensional structure.This paper design a three-dimensional composite body sewing machines with a horizontal structure,It includes four parts,they are feed mechanism,prepreg clamping tensioning mechanism,bodies of the single-side sewing mechanism,lifting and rotating mechanism.Feeding mechanism can achieve single-sided sewing machine and relative movement of the prepreg,which could achieve the desired trajectory of sewing;Prepreg clamping tensioning mechanism can make the prepreg,which plies in a certain direction and angle,sandwiched and taut,making prepreg maintain a certain tension and the lower part float a certain height in order to make the sewing work smoothly.single-side sewing machine uses two sewing needle to complete the sewing operation on one side of the sewing material,two needles are driven by two double cam mechanism,cooperate with each other according to certain laws of motion.Lifting and rotating mechanism is used to impact the single-side sewing mechanism,so as to forming the sewing trajectory which is predetermined.This topic carried out a detailed design and research about three bodies of three-dimensional composite sewing institutions,using software called Pro/E forthree-dimensional modeling of various parts and components,and then for assembling;According to the movement of the mechanism and service load to accomplish calculation?type selection and performance analysis for servo motor and ball screw;Using the software called MATLAB for kinematics simulation of single-sided sewing machine,obtained the motion curve of lead wires mechanism ? hook-pick mechanism,to verify the rationality of structural design;Using the software of finite element analysis called Ansys Workbench for analysis about the key components on composite three-dimensional sewing machine:(1)Analysis on the substructure of feed mechanism and cylinder mount to get the results of the overall size of the displacement and deformation;(2)In order to prevent the resonance double cam mechanism and mount in the work process,for both structural modal analysis,we have structural modal analysis for them;(3)Having the optimization design for installation of the main frame to make it meet the strength requirements while reducing the overall weight of the structure.Through modeling and analysis to identify and solve the problems,making the whole body size and installation more reasonable and met the design requirements.
