At present,the governments of various countries have put forward the requirements of the automobile manufacturing industry,such as lightening the weight,reducing the energy consumption,reducing pollution and improving the fuel economy.A356 aluminum alloy is widely used in the manufacture of automobile transmission,engine,wheel hub and body structure to achieve the goal of energy saving and emission reduction because of its light weight,moderate price and high specific strength.How to improve the impact performance of aluminum alloy wheel becomes a very important issue.In this paper,the relationship between the solid solution treatment process and the mechanical properties of the alloy was studied by changing the parameters of solid solution treatment.By means of X ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and optical microscopy(OM),mechanical properties test,etc..The morphology and distribution of mechanical properties and microstructure of A356 alloy wheels under different heat treatment conditions were studied.By changing the aging process parameters,studied the relationship between the rims of the aging process and mechanical properties.The results show that in the setting of the temperature,the limitation of A356 Aluminum Alloy,which reached a strength and hardness with the extension rate of extreme balance.The impact properties,crack growth behavior and mechanism of aluminum alloy wheel were studied,the theoretical basis is provided for further optimizing the production process.
