Study On The Pro-environmental Behavior Of Pesticide Application In Citrus Growers

In recent years,the agricultural economy has continued to increase under the dual role of extensive development mode and simple pursuit of economic benefits.The agricultural economic development brought by large quantities of pesticides,chemical fertilizers and other petrochemical inputs gradually exposed a series of environmental problems,food safety problems and human health problems.Therefore,in order to establish a green ecology oriented system and form a pattern of agricultural development that matches the carrying capacity of resources and environment and harmonized with the ecology of production and life,our country has issued corresponding policy documents,directed at agriculture sustainable development,green agriculture and so on.The No.1 document of 2018 proposed agricultural non-point source pollution as a major cause of rural environmental failure,and pointed out that the outstanding problems of the rural environment should be dealt with through the reduction of the input,the cleaning of production,the recycling of waste and the ecological model of the industry.Citrus as the world's largest and second main categories of fruits in China,its planting area and output are all in the forefront of the world.At present,4 dominant citrus belts have been formed in southern Jiangxi,Northern Guangxi,southern Hunan,the upper and middle reaches of Yangtze River.With the growing problems of food quality and safety,non-point source pollution and the low competitiveness of Citrus in the international market,it is more urgent to control the input of production factors from the source of citrus growth.Farmers are an important part of China's agricultural production,its production behavior is an important link of economic development of agriculture and agricultural ecological environment and the quality of agricultural products.Promoting farmers' Pro-environment behavior in agricultural production process is also an important way to reduce pesticide inputs,clean production and waste resources.Facing the serious situation of the serious agricultural ecological environment destruction and the outstanding problems of the quality of agricultural products.This paper bases on citrus as an example,through the investigation of citrus growers pesticide application process,analyses of the types and degree of farmers' currentenvironmental behavior and the influencing factors of farmers' Pro-environment,put forward the strategies of improving citrus growers Pro-environmental behavior.Specifically:(1)By combing the domestic and foreign research literature on environmental behavior,reference to relevant theories,defining the concepts of Pro-environmental behaviors,pesticide application behavior,and constructing the framework of the pro-environmental behavior of pesticide application,and From two aspects,the research hypothesis of environmental hazard cognition,responsibility concept,behavior control,environmental behavior cost,social constraint,and policy and regulation on whether the citrus growers are related to environmental behavior is proposed.(2)This paper uses Chongqing City 371 effective samples of citrus growers,through comparative analysis and descriptive statistics were used to judge the citrus growers pesticide alternative Pro-environmental behavior of the type and extent of use of pesticides,pesticide application,frequency standard,pesticide waste disposal mode.Through the introduction of control function of the production function to determine the Pro-environmental behavior of citrus farmers' pesticide fertilizer amount.(3)On the basis of the pre survey and the analysis of the scale questionnaire,the factor analysis method is used to reduce the core factors that affect the parental environmental behavior of the citrus growers,and then the logic regression is used to analyze the influence factors of the citrus farmers' pro-environmental behavior in the frequency and quantity of pesticide application,verify the proposed hypothesis.(4)n the basis of empirical analysis,the strategy of improving the pro environment behavior of citrus growers is proposed from the perspective of endogenous and exogenous,in order to control agricultural non-point source pollution and solve the problem of food quality and safety from the root of multi management,and provide reference for the policy making of the government and related parts.The conclusions are as follows:(1)There is a great difference in pro-environmental behavior between citrus growers in the process of pesticide application.In the process of citrus planting,the frequency of pesticides used by farmers was 6.28 times a year,and 46% of the farmers were in the scientific prescribed range;But there are 71.4%households over the optimal amount of economic significance in pesticide input;using citrus growers of pesticide alternatives is affected by the local government,the initiative is weak;pesticide normative farmers showed higher Pro environmental behavior;Environmental behavior in the treatment of pesticide waste is poor,which is mainly restricted by the actual conditions.(2)According to the actual situation and theempirical analysis of the basic data requirements,only the frequency and quantity of agricultural pesticides used for farmers to do further factors analysis.Through the test of the hypothesis,it is found that the concept of the citrus growers' responsibility to the environment and the cognition of the hazards will affect the pro environmental behavior of the farmers;The application of pesticides to village cadres and large households has a positive effect on the number of pesticide users in the village.The government's rewards and punishments can encourage farmers to take Pro environmental behavior.Among the control variables,sex,age,year of education and planting scale have a certain influence on the environmental behavior of citrus growers.(3)f Based on the perspective of endogenous and exogenous control,five strategies for improving the pro environment behavior of citrus growers are put forward in combination with the results of empirical research,two strategies for improving the ability of citrus growers' environmental awareness and the level of drug use based on internal improvement;Three strategies based on external management perspective: strengthening social constraints,increasing detection of pesticide residues in citrus market and promoting the supervision and management of pesticide application.
