With the development of urbanization in China,the number of urban wastes is increasing.In the process of landscape design,material demand is still dominated by traditional conventional materials,and there is a lack of reuse of urban wastes.These urban wastes are not only take up space,waste resources but also pollute the environment,however,from the perspective of resource recovery,some of them have a certain reuse value.Therefore,the landscape design in China is badly in need of applying practical sustainable strategy of reusing urban wastes,which will be used as landscape materials.On the one hand,this will change the dependence on natural resources in traditional construction methods,on the other hand it will expand the ways of applying urban wastes in the landscape.Based on the economical landscape of China,this paper studies the recycling of urban waste in the landscape from the perspective of the sustainability of the material,which includes four aspects as follows:First of all,the basic research of urban waste is reviewed.Based on the current situation and problems of the application of urban waste in the landscape,the relevant theories and classifications of urban waste reutilization are combed.Through literature review and case study,the urban waste can be divided into direct transformation class,technology regeneration category according to the reutilization of the landscape design.And with the in-depth analysis in both domestic and foreign classic cases,the value of sustainable reuse of urban waste has been summed up.Secondly,the principles,strategies and methods of urban waste application in landscape have been discussed.The principles of function priority,cost saving,artpromotion and cultural inheritance are put forward.The corresponding design strategies are given from four aspects of ecological environmental protection,visual experience,cost saving and place spirit..And three design methods for urban waste in landscape are given according to classification research,including extension application,transformation application and technology regeneration application.Then,the concrete construction method of applying urban waste in the landscape and the relevant construction plan have been proposed.In this study,the construction method of concrete application was put forward from six aspects.In the topographic design,it was used as filling material of artificial mountain and the retaining wall or mountain slope material treated with topographic height.In the road design,it was used as the base and surface material of the road;in plant planting,it was used as the container and base of plant planting.Material for quality improvement;in architectural design,as the wall and facing material of the building;in the design of water body,as the material for water purification and revetment design;in the design of the structure,the application of abandoned tires and reinforced stone cages is emphatically analyzed.Finally,the application of municipal waste in Kai yuan Park in Xi'an is researched.,which aims to provide specific methods for the subsequent application of urban waste in landscape design,and promote the application of urban waste in landscape.As an applied research,the concrete application method of urban waste in the landscape has expanded the selection range and application techniques of the available materials for landscape design,which can not only save the economic cost and natural resources,realize the sustainable resources,but also bring fresh concept for the landscape design to explore a virtuous and recyclable treatment mode of urban waste in landscape and improve the industrial chain of urban waste recycling.
