The precision of machine tools marks the development level of manufacturing industry.The most important influence factor on machine tool accuracy is the vibration during cutting process.Vibration will not only reduce the precision of machine tools,but also affect the service life of tools and damage workers' health.Improving the anti-vibration performance of machine tools has always been a research hotspot of many scholars.In this paper,the research object is machine tool column.In order to improve the dynamic performance of the column,the micro truss sandwich panel is introduced to optimize the column.Because of excellent properties of the micro truss sandwich panel,such as light weight,high specific strength,high specific stiffness and so on,if it is used to make the machine tool column,it can satisfy the static stiffness requirement of the machine tool column.Filling damping materials in the micro truss can increase the damping of the machine tool column and improve its anti-vibration performance.Firstly,four different types of micro truss sandwich panels are designed,which are the octagonal type,the cubic type,the rhombic type and the tetrahedral type.And a column model is built with these four types of sandwich panels.Rubber and mass balls are filled to study their effect on the dynamic performance of the column.Results show that the filled rubber and the filled mass balls can reduce the vibration of these four types of micro truss columns.Secondly,the balls' mass and rubber's elastic modulus are changed and the harmonic response analysis is carried out.Results show that the dynamic performance of the column increases with the increase of balls' mass.With the decrease of rubber's elastic modulus,the dynamic performance of the column increases.Then,in order to further improve the dynamic performance of the column,the mass of the balls in each layer is changed according to a certain rule,such as the sinusoidal distribution,the linear distribution or the right-angled trapezoid distribution.Results show that in the octagonal micro truss column,the linear or the right-angled trapezoid distribution of the balls' mass will improve the anti-vibration of the column.In the hexahedral micro truss column,the sinusoidal,the linear or the right-angled trapezoid distribution will increase the anti-vibration of the column.But for the rhombic and the tetrahedral column,the best distribution of the balls' mass is to make them equal.Finally,this paper compares the frequency response curves of the four micro truss columns with optimal parameters,hoping to find a column structure with the best dynamic performance.On the whole,the rhombic micro truss column model has the best performance.This study shows that the filled rubber and mass balls can reduce vibration of the column.Adjusting the mass of balls and the elastic modulus of the rubber can also improve the dynamic performance of the column.It is also helpful to improve the dynamic performance of columns by adjusting the mass distribution of the ball.
