Material is the important base for daily life and industrial development. As one of the most important parts, plastics are widely applied in electronics, automobile and other key industry filed. As the development of our society, there are more and more social needs of new materials with perfect physical performance which inspires people to study the advanced processing technology.Poly-ether-ether-ketone and Polyimide are two typical kinds of special engineering plastics.PEEK has better chemical resistance and processing ability than PI,while PI has better mechanical performance than PEEK.Therefore,PI/PEEK alloy will be a new material with each advantage, which can be applied to produce some structures in extreme conditions. In this paper, different blending rations of TPI/PEEK materials were prepared by blending technology. The mechanical properties of the prepared materials were studied both at room temperature and high/low temperature. The optimal blending ratio was analyzed by performing the micro-morphology analysis and crystallization performance analysis. Finally, the TPI/PEEK alloy was processed with perfect mechanical performance and processing ability. On this basis, this paper used the simulation method to study the interface performance of the blends, and the failure mechanism of the blends was explained. The mesoscopic dynamics, finite element method and molecular dynamics were applied to the simulation of phase morphology distribution, stress distribution and interfacial properties of the blends under external force, respectively. The analysis results were used to determine the main failure modes of the blends. The TPI/PEEK blends are easily damaged at the interface, because there are poor bonding properties and stress concentration at the interface. In view of the poor interface bonding performance of TPI/PEEK blends,in order to improve the mechanical properties of the blends, this paper added multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs)and controlled the selective distribution of MWCNTs at the interface.SEM results showed that the carbon nanotubes were mainly distributed at the interface of TPI/PEEK blends.Tensile experiments results showed that the addition of carbon nanotubes improved the mechanical properties of the blends at room temperature and high temperature.Due to the existence of MWCNTs,the thermal conductivity of the blends was improved as well. Finally,a multifunctional material with high-temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, easy processing was obtained.
