Smart window is a kind of device that can response to the external environment stimulation and adjust the different bands of the spectrum through the window.Smart window can be divided into three categories: thermochromic smart windows,electrochromic smart windows,gasochromic smart window.Because have the advantage of don't need additional energy consumption in the process of use,the cost is relatively low,the thermochromic smart window has been pay much attention and widely researched by many people.In this work,PNIPAm microgels,the temperature response starch and temperature/p H dual responsive starch have been successfully prepared as temperature responsive polymer,and these materials have been used in the application of smart window,its optical properties have been analyzed and studied.The main research content is divided into three parts:(1)The suspension polymerization method was used to prepare PNIPAm microgels.By changing the kind and amount of crosslinking agent in the synthesis process,the variety and dosage of emulsifier and the dosage of the monomer for synthesizing process,different kinds of PNIPAm microgels have been prepared.And the materials were used for the application of smart window,its effect on the optical performance have been studied.By using SEM,AFM,DLS,rheological characterization and other methods,the effect of different type and concentration of crosslinking agent on the morphology and optical properties have been studied.(2)Through the two substitution reaction of triazine ring and amino acetic acid,was successfully prepared temperature/p H dual responsive starch.Subsequent through hydrogen spectrum imaging(1 H NMR)and Fourier transform infrared(FTIR),the structure of the obtained samples have been characterized,the results show that the sample has been successfully prepared.By using variable temperature UV test the LCST of the sample,the influence of different samples of p H on the LCST has been studied,and the LCST can be regulated from 31 ? to 47 ?.Then we use the obtained materials for the use of smart window,the variation of p H and concentration on its optical performance has been explored.Through the response rate curve,recycle test and other experiments,the application of the prepared materials in the field of smart window has been studied.(3)By using soluble starch as raw materials,butyl glycidyl ether as the hydrophobic groups,through the etherification reaction of grafting modification,the temperature responsive starch have been successfully prepared.By using solvent hot method,vanadium dioxide powder with a transformation temperature in 39 ? have been successfully prepared.By changing the dosage of butyl glycidyl ether,we prepared temperature responsive starch with different LCST.Subsequent experiments by using the composite materials of temperature starch and vanadium dioxide for the application of smart window,the result shows that compared with pure vanadium dioxide and starch,the composites materials have better optical performance in some respects.
