Chromogenic materials are capable of altering their colors and light transmission in response to the surrounding environment,thus inducing to effect the solar modulating.Due to its special properties,it can be used as a ideal material for smart window.Nowadays,Academia and practitioners focus their attention on this field.This dissertation explores research about synthesis of VO2/poly?N-isopropylacrylamide??PNIPAm?hybrid microgel to realize synergistic solar modulation.Moreover,a novel pH/thermal response starch was synthesized and its Solution property was also discussed.This new responsive starch has potential applications for smart window in a cheap and environmentally friendly way.The main results of this thesis are as follows:?1?The VO2@SiO2 core-shell structure was synthesized via non-traditional Stober method.The structure was confirmed by fourier transforms infrared spectroscopy?FT-IR?,x-ray diffraction?XRD?,high resolution transmission electron microscopy?HRTEM?.Oxidation process of VO2 and VO2@SiO2 was executed as the temperature is increased to 450? with different heating rates.VO2@SiO2 shows a well anti-oxidant,thus letting a good foundation for improving the stability of VO2@SiO2 in aqueous solution.After that we also synthesize the VO2@SiO2@MPS nanoparticles?NPs?,which structure was confirmed by FT-IR and contact angle.?2?Component of 2.5g of NIPAm,a certain amount of N,N-methylenebis?acrylamide??BIS?and Poly?vinylpyrrolidone??PVP?were used to synthesis PNIPAm microgel via suspension polymerization and the diameter of microgel was about 200 nm.LCST of PNIPAm microgel was around 32?,which was confirmed by differential scanning calorimeter?DSC?.The solar modulation performance was executed by the dynamic light scattering?DLS?,UV-vis-NIR spectrophotometer,while solar modulation with different temperature and recycling performance were also discussed.When the component of PVP at 1g/L,the average luminance transmittance is 34.33% and solar modulation is 64.99%.The VO2@Si O2@ PNIPAm hybrid microgel was synthesized via suspension polymerization.After adding the VO2 NPs to the microgel,a 5% increase in the solar modulation was obtained.?3?The cationic etherifying agent 2,4-bis?dimethylamino?-6-chloro-[1,3,5]-triazine?BDAT?and 2,4-bis?diethylamino?-6-chloro-[1,3,5]-triazine?BDEAT?were synthesized by the cyanuric chloride reacted with dimethylamine and diethylamine,which was confirmed by FT-IR,Nuclear magnetic spectra?1H NMR?,?13C NMR?,mass spectrum.Temperature and pH responsive starches?TPRS?was prepared via etherification of starch with varying substitutions with butyl glycidyl ether?BGE?,BDAT and BDEAT.The structure of TPRS was confirmed by 1H NMR.After studying of solution properties,The TPRS has potential applications for smart window...
