Fuel cell is a practical,environmentally friendly and efficient clean and renewable energy source.It can be expected to take a place in the new energy revolution in the future.Solid oxide fuel cell(SOFC)not only has the advantages of common fuel cells,but also has many other advantages,such as wide fuel sources and waste heat utilization.However,SOFC works in a closed,high temperature environment.The experimental method needs long time,high cost and is limited by the experimental conditions.Compared with the experimental method,the numerical simulation can calculate the results which are unable to be measured with short time and low cost.This paper studies planar anode supported solid oxide fuel cell,the heat transfer and mass transfer,momentum transfer model,the electrochemical reaction equation with a fuel cell,build the three-dimensional steady-state model of single cell in multiphysics coupling software COMSOL.By these models,we can get velocity,temperature,concentration,current density distribution of SOFC in different configuration and working conditions,and we also can change some variables and the related boundary conditions to detect the predict of these changes on SOFC.Therefore,the simulation model can optimize the design of SOFC by predicting the influence of different parameters on the performance of SOFC.This paper has completed the modeling work of planar anode supported solid oxide fuel cell and further discussion of the optimization method of SOFC cell is given,such as the anode support thickness and porosity of porous media,the other one is to change working conditions,such as temperature,battery voltage,thermal radiation effects,flow mode,finally by comparing the numerical simulation results of a series of different boundary conditions and parameters,received some constructive opinions of SOFC optimization design.The numerical simulation method can be used to study the performance of SOFC under different working conditions,and provide a scientific basis for the work control strategy and structure design of SOFC.
