Andalusite is one of the important raw materials for manufacturing high-grade refractory materials.Formation conditions of the andalusite in the crust is strict,so the andalusite resource is very scarce in the nature.Conventional flotation and shear flocculation experiment of certain jiuquan andalusite ore coarse and fine grained sample research,in order to obtain high quality coarse level of andalusite concentrate and high recovery rate of fine grained andalusite concentrate,realizing the development and utilization of the andalusite ore.Study on ore properties indicates that,the main chemical composition of the sample was SiO2,Al2O3,Fe2O3,K2O,Na2O,TiO2,the main mineral composition was andalusite,mica,quartz,feldspar,etc.,Al2O3 grade of undressed ore and fine grained specimens of andalusite was 18.12%and 13.64%respectively.Red crystal quartz,mica,embedded in the body cloth carbonaceous gangue minerals,such as crystal surface also disseminated the gangue minerals and strong sericitization,make it difficult to sorting andalusite;For fine grained specimens,low content of andalusite,fine granularity,harder with gangue mineral separation.Undressed ore dressing experiment research show that 1#medicament during flotation,high grade of concentrate Al2O3,recovery rate is low;Al2O3 in 2#medicament during flotation,concentrate grade is low,but the recovery rate is high;Screening of flotation concentrate grading results and petroleum sulfonate of andalusite with different grain sizes on the pure mineral collecting research results show that 1#reagent for coarse grained andalusite has good collecting,fine andalusite in 2#to good collecting.Fine grained specimens of experiment research shows that the optimum condition for:magnetic field intensity is 1.20T,slurry flow velocity of 1.40 cm/s,pulsation frequency 500.00 r/min;Pulp concentration is 12%,slurry pH 3,temperature25?,the stirring speed of 1900 r/min,stirring time is 4 min,;Mixing device for mixing scattered sand grinding installations;Caustic starch as dispersing agent,dosage of 0.15 kg/t,2#reagent as collector,the dosage of 3.5 kg/t,auxiliary collector for naphthenic base oil,with ultrasonic cell crushing apparatus mixed with collector,dosage of 0.3kg/t.The conditions for flotation of fine grained sample,separation effect is best.This test in the end with the grade of Al2O3 59.06%,the recovery rate of 7.79%high quality coarse grained,andalusite concentrate and Al2O3 grade and recovery rate were 42.26%,35.72%of high recovery rate of fine grained,andalusite concentrate in high quality andalusite and desliming tailings recovery of fine grained andalusite field has a good prospect.Mechanism research has shown that with aryl 2#reagent grade of fine grained andalusite has good collecting,without aryl 1#reagent for coarse grained andalusite has good collecting,agents in the form of andalusite surface adsorption for the physical and chemical adsorption;Entrainment analysis showed that 2#of bubble stability is very high,leading to the flotation of fine grained sample gangue mineral recovery rate is high.
