Analytical chemistry is an important discipline that combines the principles of several disciplines and techniques since its birth.For the analysis of complex matrix samples,no matter what analytical method and means to use,it is always desirable to achieve a more detailed and multi-dimensioned information in a single analysis(ie,minimum sample consumption,minimum analysis time,minimum analytical cost).Among the many analytical methods,the mass spectrometry method plays a decisive role in the trace analysis of multiple disciplines and fields because of its high sensitivity and high specificity.With the advantages of without sample pretreatments and directly and rapid to analysis,the ambient mass spectrometry technique has been one of the international frontiers and hotspots of mass spectrometry analysis.Based on ambient mass spectrometry,a rapid screening method for common toxicants was established in this paper.The main contents include:This paper reviewed the principle,advantages and disadvantages of the method and the latest application of these methods in toxicants screening.The principle and characteristics of extractive electrospray ionization(EESI-MS)and its application in the field of toxicants screening are reviewed in this paper.Construct a toxicological database based on electrospray ionization mass spectrometry.The EESI is coupled with LTQ-XL.EESI has the advantage of being able to directly and quickly detect polar,nonpolar substances by selecting the type and polarity of the extractant.Select the representative toxicant to optimize the EESI-MS rapid screening poison research platform to find the best conditions for rapid screening of toxicants(mainly including ion transport tube temperature,spray pressure,spray voltage).The EESI-MS database was established by combining Xcalibur data processing system and NIST database software.The application of the detection platform and database was used to analyze the actual samples.235 kinds of toxicants(including narcotic drugs,psychotropic drugs,organic phosphorus,carbamates,pyrethroids and other pesticides,veterinary drugs,rodenticides,natural toxins or drugs,etc.)was directly analysis under optimized experimental conditions by the use of EESI-MS.The EESI-MS standard database of this toxicants was collected and established,and qualitative analysis of some toxic samples.Besides,tested their linear range and stability.The EESI-MS was used to qualitatively and partially quantify the toxicants in the urine,blood,stomach,and liver samples provided by Jiangxi Provincial Public Security Department.The results show that the method has the advantages of selectivity,accuracy and precision,and the detection time of single sample is less than 30 s,which can meet the rapid and accurate detection of common samples in toxic screening.This method will have a good prospect for forensic toxicology research in the field of criminal investigation and accurate and rapid screening of toxic and hazardous substances.Summarize the analytical method and its application research in this paper,and put forward the future development direction,provide scientific basis and tool for the application of EESI-MS in the field of toxicants screening.
