The production process of the traditional high speed steel band saw blade is to make the spring steel belt and high speed steel wire composite steel strip through laser welding or electron beam welding,and then milling the front end of the high speed steel wire into the shape of the tooth tip through the milling process.Finally,it is finally formed through the tooth splitting,heat treatment and sand blasting technology.This processing mode has many problems,such as low efficiency,long production cycle,huge investment in milling equipment,milling tools and so on,which increases the overall production cost.Therefore,the project proposes to apply the carbide grinding band saw blade production model of independent welding grinding teeth to the production of high-speed steel band saw blades.The precision resistance welding technology is applied to the production of high speed steel band saw blade.This method accelerates the production efficiency of the saw strip and shortens the production cycle while ensuring the welding quality.The production mode of independent welding grinding is to weld high hardness alloy particles one by one to the spring steel strip tooth,after the heat treatment process such as tempering,the tooth shape is obtained by grinding the teeth.Finally,the preparation method of the bimetal band saw strip is finally formed through the tooth separation process.This method is different from the traditional band saw strip production proce ss,reducing the traditional manufacturing process,making the production efficiency of the band saw greatly improved,and avoiding the investment of special milling cutter,milling machine and other assets.In order to meet the welding requirements of bimetal saw blade,a precise welding power source is developed.The traditional resistance welding power supply can hardly meet the requirement of output precision and response speed of bimetallic band saw blade welding process.Therefore,it is necessary to design a precision resistance welding power supply with higher output power,higher control precision and real-time feedback.The maximum output current of the power supply is up to 5000 A,and the output frequency is 10 k Hz.This paper will design the main circuit of the precision welding power source,analyze and calculate the components of the main circuit,and select the key components.Then the precision welding power control system is designed,and its hardware circuit is tested.The software part is programmed and debugged.After the design of the main circuit and control system is finished,the installation and commissioning of the precision welding power source will be completed.During the debugging process,the display results are analyzed,and fina lly the closed loop control of the power supply is achieved,the output is precise and adjustable,and the stability is good.In order to verify the reliability of the precision welding power supply,the precision welding device of bimetal band saw blade was designed.The welding process experiment of the saw bar of the high speed steel with diameter 2.3mm was carried out.The influence of three factors,welding current,welding time and welding pressure,on the welding quality of the bimetal band saw was analyzed.In addition,the test shows that the welding power not only can satisfy the production of high speed steel band saw strip,but also can be used in the manufacture of other dissimilar metal band saw bars,such as hard alloy.The results show that the power output is stable,dynamic response is fast,and the quality of welding is good.
