When a multi group of box shaped parts are formed by the press,the metal flow becomes difficult because of the influence of the phase between the boxes formed at the same time.It is difficult to form more boxes at one time on the sheet.In view of the above problems,the roll forming process for inclined wall box parts is a method for forming the box shaped part of the inclined wall by means of the rotary motion of the roller driving the mold.Different from the whole abrasive tool moulding process on the press,in the process of roll forming,because the forming bump and the sheet metal are always connected with the wire,before and after the line contact,the sheet metal material are in the free deformation state,which has changed the metal flow state,and can provide continuous forming to the unified and repeated multi group of skew box shaped parts for the box shaped parts of the inclined wall.but the deformation mechanism of sheet metal is more complicated.In this paper,a numerical simulation model for roll forming of skew wall box parts is established by using MSC.MARC software,and the deformation characteristics of the box shaped parts after the forming are analyzed.The bottom areas of the boxes are mainly under double compressive strain,there is a phenomenon of metal accumulation in the flange area near the corner area and other parts.and some of them are thickened.With the increase of box height,the equivalent plastic strain of box parts increases.But in some sections,the deformation characteristics have also changed with the increase of height.It can be seen that changing the height will not only increase the equivalent plastic strain,but also change the deformation characteristics.The arrangement of box shaped parts has a great influence on the forming state of the box shaped parts,which not only affects the stress state of the box shaped parts and the thinning of the wall thickness,but also has a great influence on the deformation state of the two box shaped parts.Through experiments,the number of different rows along axial direction and circumferential direction of the roller is formed,and the skew box shaped parts arranged by the array are formed.The forming quality and thickness reduction of inclined wall box parts are analyzed.The influence of axial alignment distance and clearance between convex and concave die on the quality of box shaped roll forming is studied by experimental method.
