Titanium alloy has special mechanical and physical and chemical properties,such as high strength and corrosion resistance,it is widely used in aviation,aerospace,medical,ship and other fields.However,titanium alloys surface will be prone to serious oxidation due to the higher temperature in forging process.Titanium alloy surface oxidation will have a serious impact on plasticity and toughness of titanium alloy.In the process,the titanium oxide surface and the permeability layer not only affect the performance of materials,but also a waste of resources materials,increasing costs.At the same time,the forging temperature of titanium alloy decreases rapidly,which causes the surface temperature of titanium alloy to change with the temperature of heart.The deformation resistance of forging process increases,and it also produces great work hardening,which limits the use of titanium alloy in various fields.It is found that the composite glass cloth can not only prevent the oxidation of titanium alloy,but also has excellent thermal insulation effect.In this dissertation the preparation of composite glass cloth for Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy and its effect on the oxidation resistance and lubrication performance of titanium alloy were studied systematically:?1?The glass fiber cloth is coated with the low temperature glass and sodium silicate solution.The titanium alloy coated with composite glass cloth was heated in a muffle furnace to get glass cloth composite coating on the surface of Ti-6Al-4V.The at 800?isothermal oxidation weight experiment showed that the composite glass cloth coating can be used at high temperature for a long time with excellent oxidation resistant properties.After heating at high temperature,the XRD spectra show that the surface of the titanium alloy is not TiO2 and there are no crystallization,the surface coating is stable at high temperature and has the ability to isolate oxygen.The SEM of cross section of the composite glass cloth coating showed that the glass coating is compact and there is no crack,and EDS showed that the composite glass cloth coating has excellent performance of oxygen isolation.The microhardness and pollution layer thickness indicated that the glass cloth composite coating can prevent penetration of oxygen.?2?The composite glass cloth used in the forging process of titanium alloy was prepared.The composite glass cloth with high temperature stability does not contain any toxic ingredients in line with the requirements of environmental protection.The results of temperature change experiments of titanium alloy coated with glass fiber cloth at 950?showed that the glass fiber cloth has good insulation properties.The effect of thickness of glass fiber cloth on the performance of titanium alloy was also studied by changing the layers of glass fiber cloth.The experimental results showed that the composite glass cloth has good lubricating property with a low friction coefficient.
