In order to improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of Ti6A14V.The Ti(C,N)coatings were prepared on the surface of Ti6A14V alloy by Plasma electrolytic technique under DC power.Different coatings were prepared by changing treated voltage and time. The phase and morphology of coatings were characterized by XRD,XPS,EDS,SEM,TEM and wear resistance and corrosion resistance were tested by UMT using nano scratch tester and electrochemical workstation. The evolution of microstructure and properties of the coatings with the change of treated voltage and time had been investigated. The results show that:The Ti(C,N)coatings with good wear resistance and corrosion resistance can be obtained by Plasma electrolytic technique under condition of DC power. In the mixed electrolyte system of formamide and ure.The thickness of Ti(C,N)coating is up to 74 ?m,and wear loss volume decrease to 2×10-3mm3 after reciprocating friction for 20 min at the load of 10 N.When the treated time is 20 min,the thickness and wear resistance are increased with the treated voltage increased, and high voltage can cause a lot of loose TiO2 compounds and cracks which effect the corrosion resistance of coating.Under the condition of same treated voltage, the thickness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the coatings are increased with the prolongation of the treatment time.In the formamide electrolyte system, the increase of the treated voltage and time can cause the thickness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of coatings increase. The 27 ?m coating can be obtained after treated for 60 min under 220V,and the wear volume is as low as 9E-4mm3.
