In this paper,on the basis of constructing the accurate kinetic and thermodynamic models of the trichlorosilane disproportionation reaction,a new reactive distillation column process with coupling intermediate condenser(s)was established by Aspen Plus.The simulation results show that the cooling capacity of the overhead can be decreased by about 97% when an intermediate condenser is arranged between the reaction section and the rectification zone,and the insertion of a second intermediate condenser in the reaction section can allow the condensing load of the first intermediate to be reduced by 50%.Therefore,the overall process economy performance can be greatly improved.In addition,the optimal design and operation of the reactive distillation column can be obtained by investigating the influences of process parameters and operating conditions on the energy cost.Furthermore,in order to obtain more than 99.9999% of the preparation of ultra-high silane purity,this paper also presented an extended scheme of a reactive distillation column which simultaneously coupled with the intermediate condenser and two purification columns.The results show that it is not feasible to pursue more than 99% silane purity at the overhead of the reactive distillation column owing to the large condensation cost.And it is unnecessary to configure the two intermediate condensers at the same time because that it will interfere with the disproportionation reaction and ultimately increase the overall operating costs.The optimum process configuration is to insert a single intermediate condenser between the reaction and the rectification section.Finally,the cost dependency of the process configuration of the reactive distillation column can also be clarified by analyzing the fluid flow rate and the reaction efficiency in it.
