Study Of External Heat Source Influence On Machine Tool Thermal Characteristics

Heat is one of the most significant factors affecting the machining accuracy.Thermal error is caused by the temperature gradient.And the machine tool temperature gradient is mostly produced by internal heat sources and external heat sources.Most of the researches about machine tool thermal error focused on the internal heat sources,and barely literatures investigated the external heat sources influence.This may due to the lower temperature of external heat sources,and the impacts on machine tool is not large as internal heat sources.From above,the study about how the external heat sources affect machine tool temperature field and structure field is very important.This thesis mainly investigates how lamps and ECC affect machine tool thermal characteristic.The main research content:Describe how the external heat sources affect the precision horizontal machine tool temperature and structure field by means of convection and thermal radiation.Illustrate the radiative heat transfer and convection theory and construct the corresponding theoretical foundation of simulation analysis.Fluent and Ansys workbench are used for building multi-step fluid-solid simulation method based on heat transfer theory.Therefore,the influences of different external heat sources on the machine tool under different surface temperatures and distances are calculated.According to the simulated data,the influence of external heat source on the temperature field and the deformation of the machine tool is established.Proposed multi-step fluid-solid modeling method was validated by a great number of test.The research of this thesis construct the heat influence law of external heat sources on precision horizontal machine tool,which provided a theoretical and experimental basis for guiding the designers and operators of the machine tool designing and operating.Therefore,this thesis has a very important practical significance of the project.
