Titanium alloy is a high quality structural material and a new functional material.In the field of aerospace,TA15 titanium alloy is a high aluminum equivalent damage tolerance titanium alloy.It has excellent mechanical properties,making it a new structural alloy with broad prospects.But the wear resistance of TA15 titanium alloy is poor,which affects the development of its application.Therefore,the surface modification technology is used to improve the wear resistance of the TA15 alloy surface.This topic seeks to improve the poor wear resistance of TA15 alloy by preparing AlN/AlCrN hard film on the surface of TA15 alloy with the technology of reactive magnetron sputtering.The surface morphology and wear mark of the film were observed by scanning electron microscope?SEM?,and the structure was detected by X ray diffraction?XRD?.Analysis of the species and content of the elements of film by energy dispersive spectrometer?EDS?.The nano hardness was measured by nano indentation,stretcher was used to evaluate the adhesive strength between film and matrix.The friction and wear test is used to evaluate the wear resistance of the film.The results show that:?1?The effects of sputtering pressure,sputtering power,Ar/N2 flow ratio,deposition time and target base parameters on AlN/AlCrN film are investigated.the optimum process parameters are listed as follows:sputtering pressure:0.5Pa,sputtering power:230W,Ar/N2 flow ratio:9,deposition time:4h,target-matrix distance:20mm.?2?After the optimum parameters for preparing AlN/AlCrN film,the thickness of the film is about 6?m;the XRD diffraction showed that the film is mainly composed of AlN and CrN phases;the nano hardness and modulus of elasticity of film are 27.85GPa and 274.20GPa respectively,which are four and two times larger than those of the matrix;the average roughness of the AlN/AlCrN film is 79nm,and the adhesive strength between film and matrix is about 37.88MPa.?3?This paper studied the friction wear behaviors and mechanisms of AlN/AlCrN film in condition of different load,speed,temperature.The results showed that the AlN interlayer could effectively improve the adhesion property between the film and matrix.The surface of AlCrN film was smooth and roughness is small,which exhibited the best adhesion strength and wear resistance.After the preparation of AlN/AlCrN film on the matrix TA15 alloy,the wear resistance was improved effectively,and the friction coefficient and wear rate are lower than those of the matrix.The main wear mechanisms are abrasive and oxidation wear.
