The Gas-Liquid Cylindrical Cyclone(GLCC)becomes popular in the field of deep-sea oil and gas separation because of its simple and compact structure as well as convenient operation.The separation mechanism of GLCC is complex,which hinders its wide application in industry.In this paper,the properties of liquid phase separation,gas phase separation and pressure drop of GLCC are studied using experimental method by using of air and water,changing the structure of gas outlet pipe and designing a GCU(Gas Carry under)measuring device.The main conclusions are shown as follows:(1)There is almost no effect on the liquid phase separation efficiency after the core pipe is inserted.The performance of liquid phase separation is affected by the change of the diameter of the gas outlet pipe.The entrainment fraction curve of GLCCcan be divided into four regions with the number of S: the initial carry-over region,the liner carry-over region,the transition region and the stable carry-over region.The hyperbolic tangent function is used to correlate the liquid phase separation efficiency,and the corresponding error is less than 1.5%.(2)Experiments are carried out using combination structures of different inlet nozzles and gas outlet pipes.The correlation formula of pressure drop is established.A kind of core pipe with trumpet-shaped opening structure is designed.The experimental results show that the structure achieves the design goal of reducing pressure and increasing efficiency.(3)A new experimental device of quick closing valve method to measure the volume of bubbles coming out of the lower cylinder is designed.An approximate model for the prediction of gas carry under is established.Considering the separation efficiency of gas-liquid phase,the safe operation area of GLCC is modified.This paper puts forward an operation diagram of gas-liquid phase separation efficiency which can reflect the separation ability of gas and liquid phase,and has certain significance to the development of industrial practice.
