The traditional casting process is difficult to observe directly.Generally,the casting process is determined based on the experience of process designers.Testing method is used to improve casting process and the rationality of casting process can only be evaluated after the process.The real-time data collection of foundry production is not realized,so the correctness of the simulation results is difficult to verify.In order to solve the above problems,the general method of collecting temperature data in casting process and verifying the simulation results with experimental data to prove the process rationality was put forward.The specific research results are as follows:The casting process was simulated by computer simulation technology.Taking a machine tool bed as an example,the filling stage and solidification stage of casting process were discussed with software ProCAST and the distribution of the defects was also analyzed.The improvement of gating system and riser was put forward,and its technological parameters were properly optimized.Finally,the solidification process and defect distribution of the original process and the improved process were contrasted respectively,and the rationality of the process improvement was verified.The hardware and software of the universal temperature data acquisition system for foundry production process were designed and developed.Based on the special demand of temperature acquisition system in foundry production,the frame and function module of the system were put forward.The upper and lower computer terminals of the system were designed and developed respectively,and their communication and communication protocols were completed.The layout method of sensors used in casting cavity was explored.Finally,taking the actual production process of machine tool bed as an example,temperature monitoring and data acquisition for important parts of casting in production process were carried out.The temperature change during solidification process was analyzed and compared with the simulation results.The rationality of gating system and process parameters improved by simulation was verified and feasibility of the improved process was proved.
