The 3D-Flow closed integral impeller attracts more and more domestic and foreign researchers because of its long lifespan,good stability and high efficiency.The traditional milling process cannot manufacture those products because they are made of difficult-to-cut materials.The only way at present to manufacture these products is Electrical Discharge Machining(EDM),but this way is very poor in processing efficiency.Researchers come up with new way to solve this problem which is combined by EDM and Electrochemical Machining(ECM),in other words,we use pre-processing to make air intake communicate with air outlet of the impeller by ECM,then the next step is to carry out the finishing process by EDM.This paper mainly talked about the pre-processing manufactured by ECM,and the contents are as followed:(1)Made the overall processing scheme.3D software UG was used to analyze the structural characters of the integral impeller and its flow channels.Came up with way to manufacture the product;Analyzed the difficulties of the manufacturing process,and propose solutions to these problems.(2)Designed the corresponding electro-cathodes,anode bars,fixtures in this experiment,the movements of electro-cathodes.Made the simulation for the movements of electro-cathodes to ensure the movements to be logical.Made simple simulations by using UG8.5 software as second development platform to make sure the process is stable.(3)Manufactured the channel.Did some experiments with different voltages and velocities,analyzed the results of experiments and relationships between electricity and working depth in order to get the right machining parameters.Used three coordinates measuring machine to measure the processed workpiece,analyzed the measurements and results to make sure the manufacturing process is right.Manufacture the work-piece to the target product.The research above provides us with effective way to make technological process for 3D flow impeller with ECM.which lies the foundation to solve the same problem.
