With the development of high-speed rail transport,aerospace and large-scale bridge engineering,ferromagnetic materials have been widely used.Therefore,proper nondestructive testing techniques are needed to determine the mechanical properties of the material quickly and efficiently.The principle of Barkhausen noise detection is especially applicable to the evaluation and detection of the microstructure and residual stress state of ferromagnetic materials.The aim of this project is to use the detection technique to measure the parameters of mechanical properties of ferromagnetic materials.Based on the understanding of the related theory of Barkhausen noise,the Barkhausen noise signal detection system was developed to carry out the following research.This system has been used to test the ferromagnetic materials extensively and by analyzing the test data the neural network model between the mechanical properties of the material and the characteristic value of Barkhausen noise signal is established.In this paper,the basic concept of electromagnetic nondestructive testing technology is introduced firstly,and the specific application field of Barkhausen noise detection technology is described.Secondly based on the theoretical knowledge,the formation mechanism and influencing factors of Barkhausen noise are illustrated.After finishing the basic theory research,the Barkhausen noise signal detection system was developed,and the hardware and software design of the system was explained in detail.And then,the experimental study on gear materials and steel plate materials is carried out.Correlation analysis of some mechanical property parameters and the characteristic value of Barkhausen noise signal and the establishment of quantitative transformation model are accomplished.Finally,the feasibility of the research direction of multi-information fusion is verified by the fusion analysis method of Barkhausen noise detection technology and other electromagnetic detection technologies.
