With the development of the petroleum transportation industry and the gradual improvement of the underground pipe network,some of the pipes in the complex underground environment have been corroded.Corrosion can be divided into internal corrosion and external corrosion,corrosion occurs mainly in the gas pipeline,because of containing sulfur dioxide,carbon dioxide and other corrosive gases;external corrosion is the main corrosion(primary battery is formed with wet soil)and stray current corrosion.Therefore,it is an important part of the oil and gas industry safety and pipeline maintenance to carry out the pipeline inspection and repair.In this paper,the location and quantification of buried metal pipeline defects are studied.Analyze the principle and theory of detection technology,through the finite element simulation of metal detection technology of pipeline defects is simulated,then self-made coil and the test platform is built to validate the effectiveness of the simulation model.The results show that the high degree of coincidence simulation results and experimental results.According to the traditional coil energy is weak,non focusing problems,the detection technology of hardware(sensor)and parameter optimization design of the structure,so as to realize the magnetic focusing,combined with the experiment proposed a mathematical model to calculate the metal loss based on the principle of eddy current,the metal pipe of the experimental results also show that the calculation error is less than 5%,the tested data processing section to determine the location of defects,the main influence factors on the detection technology of metal pipeline defects was analyzed based on experimental results,the pipe should be based on choosing appropriate parameters of the excitation frequency and the lift off height can improve the detection accuracy.The research on the detection technology not only provides the theory and experiment basis for the application of the eddy current principle in the buried metal pipeline,but also has very important application value in the field of pipeline detection.
