In the last few years, with the modern industry developing rapaid,a large number of heavy metal ions and dye wastewater were dischanged, which seriously affected the ecological environment and human health, respectively.Dye wastewater has the characteristics of complex composition, high chroma and concentration, large variation in water quality, and difficulty in biodegradation, heavy metal ions are difficult to be degraded by microorganisms, are easy to be enriched, and have biomagnification effects.Without timely and effective treatment of these pollutants will directly threaten human survival.Coal gangue reserves are abundant resource that solid waste generated in coal mining, washing process. If it cannot be reasonably used, the accumulation of large amounts of coal gangue will cause serious damage to the environment and human health.Diatomite and bentonite are natural adsorbents formed in nature, which all have a large specific surface area,a high porosity, and a certain degree of ion exchange. Therefore,I prepared composite hollow microspheres by compounding coal gangue with bentonite and diatomite, respectively, which was used to treat wastewater to achieve waste treatment as a new type of adsorption material. In this paper, the composite microsphere of coal gangue/bentonite and coal gangue/diatonite were prepared by spray drying, and after the calcination treatment,a good microspheres adsorbing material is obtained which applied to the treatment of dye wastewater and heavy metal ions wastewater.Effects of calcining temperature, microspheres dosage, concentration of solution and contact time on the adsorption properties on dye of microspheres were investigated. The adsorption kinetics and adsorption isotherm model were studied. The microstructure of microbeads was characterized by XRD,SEM,TG/DTA and other methods, and the adsorption mechanism was elucidated.Static adsorption experimental study shows that composite gangue/bentonite composite microspheres with compound ratio of 1:1 when the calcination temperature is 600? and the dosage is 2 g/L,which is the best for Cu(?)adsorption and the adsorption capacity and removal efficiency are 39.8 mg/L and 99.6%,respectively.The 1:1 ratio of coal gangue/diatonite composite microspheres at the calciningtemperature of 600 ? and the dosage of 6 g/L is the best for methylene blue whose adsorption and removal rate are 15.9 mg/L and 95.4%,respectively.Results show that coal gangue/bentonite composite microspheres and coal gangue/diatonite were porous structure and have complete spherical structure, the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and Langmuir adsorption isotherm model can be used to describ the adsorption process, composite microspheres were easy to adsorb and the adsorption process was monolayer, the composite microspheres had a significant adsorption effect on copper ions and also had a certain removal effect on methylene blue.
