The liquid distributor only had a role in the vapor-liquid distribution.In this paper,a new type of liquid distributor with mass transfer capability was designed combined the characteristics of combined trapezoid spray tray(CTST).The distributor carried out interphase mass transfer and uniform distribution of gas-liquid at the same time.The functionality of distributor was enhanced and the space utilization of tower was improved.A liquid distributor was designed and manufactured in this study.And the method of fluid mechanics was used to evaluate and analyze the performance of the distributed distributor.In this paper,a experimental device was fabricated to study the orifice discharge coefficient of single hole outflow.The results showed: the flow characteristics of vertical sharp-edged orifice discharge was consistent with the mechanism of "large orifice".It provided the initial value for the orifice discharge.Combined with the design principle of the distributor and the characteristics of CTST,the type?liquid distributor was designed and manufactured.In this paper,a plexiglass column with 580 mm was built up.The distribution performance of the distributor was tested by air-water system.The results showed: the flow rate of the liquid at the different spray density is uniform,and the number of the orifices with the flow rate deviation of more than 4% was less than 8% and the distribution quality was better.Operating flexibility was up to 1: 5.1.To enhance the mass transfer process,the type?liquid distributor was designed and manufactured.The performance of the type?was tested.The results showed: the rising trend of pressure drop was close to exponential function or power function.Operating flexibility was up to 1: 4.5.The performance of type?was better than type?.In this paper,through numerical simulation,the reasons that affect the effect of liquid uniformity were explored.The simulation was carried out by ANSYS15.0 software,and the physical model was established for the distributor.Based on the experimental data,the homogeneous multiphase model,the RNG k ~ ? turbulence model and VOF method.The simulation results showed that the liquid flow in the distributor was obstructed by the riser,and there was a typical flow around phenomenon.The horizontal flow unevenity had an effect on the outflow velocity of the liquid at different locations.This was also the reason why the traditional distributor had the difference of the liquid level and the difference of the concentration.The orifice position of the type?distributor was designed directly below the spray plate,the height of the liquid layer and the horizontal flow above the orifice was similar to every orifices,and the outflow through orifices caused was uniform and the distribution effect was good.
