Based on the minimal quantity lubrication(MQL)and combined with the the knowledge of the electrostatic spraying in this dissertation,an electrostatic spraying assisted minimal quantity lubrication system was established.Using Ansoft Maxwell to get the electric field of corona electrode,the performance of cutting fluid under different number of corona electrodes was characterized by the charge-mass ratio.This study explored the mechanism of the electrostatic spraying assisted minimal quantity lubrication system preliminarily.The process involves analyzing the molecular structure,dynamic viscosity,contact angle,and surface tension of cutting fluids under charged,and a four-ball tester was used to analyze the tribological properties of the electrostatic spraying assisted minimal quantity lubrication system under different number of corona electrode conditions.In addition,XPS analysis was used to investigate the worn surface.Through the cutting experiment of stainless steel,the effect of electric field intensity,cutting parameter,and spraying parameter for the electrostatic spraying assisted minimal quantity lubrication system was researched.The main research contents and results are as follows:1.Single electrode produces the maximum electric field intensity under the same voltage conditions and the high field strength concentrate in the passing area of lubricant droplets.The charging performance of cutting fluids under single electrode is better than that under multi-electrodes,its sauter mean diameter is smaller and the uniformity of atomization is better,too.2.The molecular polarity of cutting fluids is enhanced after charging.Its dynamic viscosity,contact angle,and surface tension become smaller.Friction and wear test showed that anti-wear and anti-friction of electrostatic spraying under single electrode was better than that of multi-electrodes.With the increase of voltage,the friction coefficients and wear scar diameters become first larger then smaller.With the number of electrode increase,the friction coefficients and wear scar diameters become larger.XPS analysis showed that the ozone and oxygen ions produced by corona spraying react with the metal to form a metal oxide film on the surface,the film have good anti-wear and anti-friction performance.3.Turning test showed that the cooling and lubrication performance of corona spraying under single electrode was better than that of multi-electrode;with the number of electrode increase,the surface roughness and tool wear increased;the greater cutting speed,feed rate,and cutting depth were,the more obvious the advantage of corona spraying was,compared with the ordinary spraying.
