With oleic acid and butyl alcohol for reaction raw materials,ammonium ferric sulfate as catalyst,butyl stearate was synthesized via direct esterification method.The experimental results showed that the optimum technological conditions as follows:n(oleic acid):n(butyl alcohol)-1:2.0,m(catalyst)=2.5%m(oleic acid),the reaction temperature was 1200C,and the reaction time was 5h.Under such conditions,the performance of the product was good,acid value was 3.3mgKOH/g,esterified yield was 97.63%,the melting point was 19.9oC,the melting enthalpy was 119.5)/g.Then studied the effect of the purity of oleic acid on performance of product,and these studies had profound guiding significance for application.Propyl oleate was synthesized with oleic acid and propyl alcohol,using sulfamic acid as catalyst,which had large enthalpy of phase change energy.The influence on the performance of the product was studied,and the results showed that the optimum conditions of synthesis as follows:n(oleic acid):n(propyl alcohol)=1:2.0,m(catalyst)=1.0%m(oleic acid),the reaction temperature was 105?,and the reaction time is 8h.And the product was tested by IR and DSC.Acid value was 3.2mgKOH/g,esterified yield was 97.89%,melting point was 21.0?,and the melting enthalpy was 178.8 J/g.With oleic acid and ethylene glycol for reaction raw material,p-toluene sulfonic acid as catalyst preparation,the oleic acid glycol ester was synthetized as phase change energy storage material.The optimum technological conditions as follows:n(oleic acid):n(ethylene glycol)?1.8:1,m(catalyst)=2.0%m(oleic acid),and the reaction time was 3h,reaction temperature was 110?.And the products was tested by IR and DSC.The acid value was 3.3 mgKOH/g,esterified yield was 97.99%,melting point was 73.3 C,and the melting enthalpy was 234.7 J/g,penetration degree was 2(0.1 mm).Under the optimum conditions,studied the effect of the purity of oleic acid on performance of product,and these studies had profound guiding significance for application.The oleamide was synthesized with oleic acid and octadecylamine,using phosphoric acid as catalyst,which had relatively high melting point.And the product was tested by IR and DSC.The results showed that the optimum technological conditions as follows:n(oleic acid):n(octadecylamine)?1:1.05,m(catalyst)=1.5%m(oleic acid),the reaction temperature was 160?,and the reaction time was 3h.The product acid value was 6.9 mgKOH/g,amine number was 9.6 mgKOH/g,melting point was 91.1?,the melting enthalpy was 133.7 J/g,penetration was 4(0.1 mm).At the same time,the influcing of the oleic acid purity on the properties of the product were discussed.According to different requirements,chose appropriate reaction raw materials for synthetic materials.
