Nonwovens composed of superfine fibers are of interest for use in numerous fields, such as filtration, insulation, and absorption media. The pore structure and fiber diameter of nonwovens have a dominant influence on the performance characteristics of the final products. In this paper, combines the strong points of sea-island super microfiber and spun-laced nonwovens, such as soft, good air permeability and high strength,3 different areal density spun-laced nonwovens which consisting of polyamide6(PA6)/polyethylene(PE)sea-island fibers were prepared by hydro entanglement. And after an treatment with the xylene,3 corresponding spun-laced nonwovens composed of PA6 superfine fibers were obtained. Then the 6 kinds of spun-laced nonwovens were investigated by the help of DSC,SEM,PMI,Electronic fabric strength tester,Automatic filter tester, and the structure and properties of spun-laced nonwovens before and after peeling were studied systematically, and also we preliminary established the relationship between structure and property. The results show that, after the spun-laced nonwovens consisting of PA6/PE sea island are peeled, the fiber diameter significantly dropped to 792nm from 28?m,and the pore diameter decreased by 85%,but there is no difference of porosity.Compared with the spun-laced nonwovens consisting of PA6/PE sea island fibers, the Permeability of spun-laced nonwovens composed of PA6 superfine fibers is slightly worse due to the decrease of the pore size, but the tensile breaking strength and uniformity of spun-laced nonwovens composed of PA6 superfine fibers are improved. For the 0.3?m particle, filtration efficiency of the spun-laced nonwovens composed of PA6 superfine fibers can reach 41.4%,it is increased by 251%comparing with the untreated samples, and that the filtration resistance remains low.Compared the performance of homemade sample and the similar products on the market,it indicates that the fiber fineness and average aperture of the spun-laced nonwovens composed of PA6 superfine fibers are smaller, this is helpful for improving the filtration efficiency. The research results show that the spun-laced nonwoven consisting of PA6 superfine fibers with different pore structure could be prepared by regulating the fiber diameter and spunlace process, and it will promote its applications in the fields of biomedical&sanitary and filter material.
