Abstract/Summary:
Polyacrylamide is a kind of new functional polymer chemicals.With the increasing demand and range of application,significance of synthesis research is more and more important.In this paper,Jin Zilin’s water/organic two-phase "temperature control phase transfer catalytic" concept was referred.This paper aims to synthetic a new type of thermostat ligand.Using characteristics of nonionic surfactant cloud point.The ligands can be used to control polymerization reaction rate and improve monomer conversion and realize recycling of metal ions.So we designed a new ligand and studied its application in R-ATRP.The results showed that the ligand can control polymerization reaction and improve monomer conversion.The non-ionic surfactant OP-10 was used as raw material.According to the experimental results,the selected synthetic route is:OP-10 reacted with epoxy chloropropane,using sodium hydroxide as catalyst,then the product reacted with ethylene diamine,and connect a hydrophobic groups at last.The optimum reaction conditions is T=70℃,n(OP-ECH-en):n(R4Br)=1:0.8,conversion rate was 95.83%with 8 hours,and when PH=9.8,n(OP-ECH-en-R4):n(Cu2+)=2:1,the cloud point is 58℃.The complex can realize compound initiator system reductant and R-ATRP reaction catalyst when it is joined the inverse emulsion reverse atom transfer radical polymerization of acrylamide.OP-ECH-en was joined in the polymerization system as ligand,monomer conversion was 86.27%after 6h,When the concentration of complex was 2.58×10-3mol/L,T=30℃,V(paraffin):V(water)=1:1,Cm(AM)=15.0%,n(AM):n(Cu2+):n(ligand):n(initiator)=400:1:2:0.086,Cm(emulsifier)=2.0%,the linear correlation coefficient is 0.985,which showed polymerization is controllable.And OP-ECH-en-R4 is joined in polymerization system as ligand,when n(AM):n(Cu2+):n(ligand):n(initiator)=400:1:2:1.721,the linear correlatio coefficient of first order kinetics curve is 0.986 at the first 5 hours.Then raise the temperature to 62℃,PH=9.8,monomer conversion rate increased by 9.95%after 1 hours.
