In this paper,titanate nanotube was synthesized through hydrothermal method,and then treated with HCl to form H-titanate nanotube(H-TiNT).The morphology and structure of H-TiNT were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and N2 adsorption-desorption,the results showed that the pore of H-TiNT mainly belong to mesopore and the specific surface area of H-TiNT is higher than that of TiO2 about 12.8 times.The catalytic oxidation desulfurization activity of H-TiNT was investigated by using DBT as the model sulfur compound.DBT can be completely removed at the optimal reaction conditions,which temperature of 40?,dosage of H-TiNT was 0.1 g,n(H2O2)/n(DBT)=4,stirring rate of 400 r·min-1.Kinetic of oxidative reaction has also been studied,oxdation of DBT can be treated as a first-order reaction.The apparent activation energy is 40.3 kJ·mol-1.H-TiNT was reused after dried overnight,and almost no catalytic activity loss was observed after five recycles of the catalyst.The order of catalytic oxidation desulfurization activity of different sulfur compounds was as follows:DBT>BT>Th>4,6-DMDBT,these different reactivities of the four sulfur-containing compounds could be ascribed to Nemst partition coefficient as well as their electron density and the steric hindrance around the sulfur atoms.The presence of 1-octylene,xylene,and cyclohexane in the model fuel do not find any influence in the ODS process.Charaterization of H-TiNT interaction with hydrogen peroxide was carried by Raman spectra and UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectra,and the results revealed that Ti-peroxo complexes can be generated after H-TiNT interaction with H2O2,due to the H-TiNT have the structures in which TiO6 octahedra join each other to form layers with hydrogen ions existing within the layers.Thus,the Ti-peroxo complex formed over H-TiNT is Ti-?1-peroxide and dose not form Ti-?2-peroxide because of hexacoordinate saturation.Ti-?1-peroxide generated from H-TiNT play an important role for the selective oxidation activity of H-TiNT.
