Catalytic distillation that integrates the reaction and distillation in one apparatus has several advantages,such as the high selectivity,high yield,low energy consumption and low equipment investment which has a wide application prospect.While,it takes quite a long priod to realize the industrialization application from the experimental scale due to the complexity of the catalytic distillation and the amplification effect in the industrial processes.In a catalytic distillation column,the catalyst packing structure which determines the efficiency of the reaction and separation is the core technology for the implementation of industrialization application.Therefore,the optimization and design of catalytic packing is an important content for the better application of catalyst packing in the industrial process.In this work,the structural catalytic packing was investigated.The reaction and mass transfer characters of several catalytic packing were tested in the macro kinetic experimental apparatus.The macro kinetic data which can be applied for the process simulation and design for industrial application were obtained.And the efficiency factors under several catalyst packings with different structure parameters and different operational conditions were investigated and correlated.The optimized structure parameter of catalyst bags was obtained and a novel catalyst packing internal was proposed.The main work of this thesis is as followed:1.The industrialization ion exchange resin C100E was employed as catalyst.And the intrinsic kinetics of methyl acetate hydrolysis was investigate.2.The macro kinetic experimental apparatus were set up(constant and circulating intermittent reactor with catalytic distillation tower diameter at 0.1 m).The methyl acetate hydrolysis was employed as test system.And the macro kinetic experiments of three different catalyst packings were carried out at the temperature of 313.15?328.15 K,water ester ratio of 1?6 and spray density of 6.4?28.8 m3/m2h.The corresponding kinetic equations were obtained.3.Five catalyst bales with different equivalent diameters of catalyst bags were investigated.The corresponding catalytic packing efficiency factors were tested in the macro kinetic experimental apparatus under different operational condition for these five catalyst bales.The results show that catalyst bale with equivalent diameter of catalyst bale of 8 mm has the highest efficiency factor,and the corresponding catalyst packing efficiency factor equation was obtained.4.A new type of catalytic packing structure were designed for further optimization of the catalytic packing.And the macro kinetic data for new catalytic packing were investigated in the macro dynamic measurement device.The corresponding macro kinetic equation and catalyst packing efficiency factor were obtained.The results show that the new type of catalytic packing have good reaction and mass transfer performance with the 90%catalyst utilization rate,thus presenting a great prospect in industrial application.
