Carbon steel,as an important engineering material,plays an important role in transportation,construction,mechanical manufacturing and other industries.But in the process of use,carbon steel often deteriorates because of corrosion.However,in the course of using,Carbon steel often deteriorates because of corrosion.Deterioration of metals can cause economic losses,environmental pollution,and even cause serious safety accidents.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the corrosion prevention of carbon steel.Metal corrosion can be divided into chemical corrosion,electrochemical corrosion and biological corrosion,among which electrochemistry is the most important research object.The corrosion of metal is often related to the surrounding environment.The corrosive moves and contacts with the surface of metal which is a necessary condition for electrochemical corrosion.Hindering the contact between metal and surrounding environment can effectively slow down the corrosion rate.Due to the hydrophobicity,superhydrophobic surfaces can effectively inhibit the diffusion of corrosive media on carbon steel surfaces.And the hierarchical structure can trap a large amount of air,reducing the contact area between the corrosion electrolyte and the surface of the coatings.Numerous researchers apply it in the corrosion protection.Polyaniline is a kind of polymer material with corrosion resistance.Because of its unique redox property,a layer of oxide film can be formed on the surface of carbon steel,polyaniline is often used to anti-corrosion.Combining the hydrophobic properties of super hydrophobic surfaces with the excellent anticorrosion properties of polyaniline,the protective effect of coating on the metal can be improved more effectively.In this paper,we prepared a superhydrophobic coating on the surface of carbon steel by the electro-spinning firstly.Under the action of a strong electric field,polystyrene formed the nano-scale filament and deposited on the surface of carbon steel,The superhydrophobic coating could be obtained and the contact angle of the coating reached 157°.However the force of this hydrophobic membrane and carbon steel was very weak and it could not meet the requirements of mechanical strength for industrial use.Next,the polydimethylsiloxane modified silica nanoparticles(PDMS-SiO2)modified silica nanoparticles were blended with epoxy resin,a series of coatings were constructed on mild steel for corrosion protection by simple dip-coating approach.When the nanoparticle content was 34.7%,the static contact angle reached 159°.The surface morphology of the coatings was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It was found that the surface of the coatings was filled with nanoparticles and had some micropores,which made them had micro-nano rough structures.The corrosion resistance was analyzed by electrochemistry.It was found that the superhydrophobic coatings had excellent corrosion resistance,but the anticorrosive coating quickly lost its effect when the superhydrophobic property was destroyed after a period of immersion.At last,the dedoped polyaniline was dissolved in DMF and PDNS-SiO2 nanoparticles and epoxy resin were blended.The superhydrophobic polyaniline epoxy resin anticorrosion coatings were prepared on the surface of carbon steel.When the nanoparticle content was 25%,the static contact angle reached 151°.Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and SEM were used to characterize the chemical composition and microstructure of the coatings.It was found that there were some cracks on the surface,resulting in its micro-nano rough structure.The corrosion resistance was analyzed by electrochemistry.It was found that when the coatings had both superhydrophobicity and polyaniline,the anticorrosion of the superhydrophobic coatings and the anticorrosion of polyaniline could play a synergistic effect.The coatings had better anti-corrosion ability.
