The Tension Leg Platform(TLP)is a kind of the deep water oil and gas resources exploitation platform.The Tendon Support Buoy(TSB)is an essential tool for TLP installation.It's very important for the development of TLP related technologies in our country to solve the key technical problems of TSB.After investigating the related products and research at home and abroad,this paper mainly completed the overall scheme design of TSB,optimized the main parameters of buoyancy modulus and studied the unlocking force of TSB's clamp.According to the scheme and optimization results,the prototype of TSB is designed in detail.Finally,the research results are validated by the experiment of TSB prototype.By listing and studying the reference standard of TSB,the working location,working environment working process and structure of TSB is analyzed.Then the design requirements is summarized.The overall design is completed according to the design requirements.The diameter-height ratio,diameter and subdivision of TSB is optimized.By analyzing the drag force,self-weight and strength of buoyancy modulus,the optimal range of diameter-ratio is achieved.The relation between diameter of buoyancy modulus and the buoyancy center offset and buoyancy loss was studied.By studying the buoyancy loss and the maximum inclination angle of buoyancy modulus after breakage,the optimal range of buoy subdivision is obtained.Combined with the results of TSB optimization,the method of determining TSB parameters is given.The working principle of TSB clamping is described in detail.According to its working principle,the force on TSB clamping is analyzed overall.Then the stress of each component is analyzed and calculated in detail.Finally,the calculation method of the locking/unlocking force of the front slips is obtained.When the wedge angle is 4.5° and the friction coefficient is0.11,the unlocking force of TSB clamping is simulated by FEM.The simulation results are compared with the theoretical results to verify the theoretical unlocking force of TSB clamping and simulation method.The TSB prototype was designed and manufactured.The reliability test was carried out to validate design rationality and manufacture reliability of TSB.The unlocking test was carried out on the TSB clamp.The test results were compared with the theoretical andsimulation results to validate the theoretical method and simulation method of unlocking force.The structure design of buoyancy modulus,TSB clamp and the buoy centering device and the buoyancy regulation process were validated by pool test of TSB.
