Energy consumption is the main cause of environmental pollution.It is of great theoretical and practical significance to study the impact of energy consumption structure on air quality,in order to better adjust and optimize the energy consumption structure on the basis of environmental protection.This paper analyzes the collected data,and uses partial least square method and non-linear partial least squares method to establish a regression model for the selected energy consumption index and air measurement index.The following four conclusions and recommendations are obtained:1.By integrating the data released by authoritative organizations,comparing China's energy consumption structure with the global energy consumption structure,we can find that the world's energy consumption is dominated by oil and coal;Further analyzing the current situation and changes of energy consumption and air pollution in China,it can be found that with the transformation of China's economic development model and the improvement of science and technology,China's annual CO2 emissions have been slowing down,while the amount of SO2 emissions has been declining.2.The annual CO2 and SO2 emissions are selected as dependent variables.Selecting the energy consumption path index and economic index in human life such as various energy consumption,car ownership and so on as independent variables,and conducting correlation analysis of various dimensional variables,it is found that there is a strong multicollinearity between variables,and therefore Partial Least Squares regression modeling;3.The multivariate linear regression model,partial least-squares regression model,and partial least-squares non-linear regression model were established.From the unreasonable results of the multiple linear regression model,the collinearity between variables was verified;and the effects of coal,oil,hydropower etc.,annual electricity generation on the annual emissions of CO2 and SO2 are found to be significant from the partial least square regression model;From the comparison of the partial least squares nonlinear model with the partial least squares model,it is found that there is a non-linear relationship between the variables selected in this paper;4.In combination with the model results,the environmental pollution caused by energy consumption is addressed.Possible measures and recommendations are:?1?Strengthen the development of science and technology has optimized the structure of energy consumption,increase the proportion of clean energy such as water,wind,and nuclear power in energy consumption;?2?Strengthen publicity on the need for environmental protection,effectively implementing the"Environmental Protection Law"in the implementation of environmental pollution control,and forming the"who will pollute"governance of the social morality and culture,not only the national government's tasks and responsibilities,but also the obligations for each of us.
