With the rapid development of economy,the usage amount of natural gas in China is increasing year by year.In order to meet the supply demand of natural gas in the domestic market,millions of tons of natural gas was imported every year.The accuracy and fairness of measurement are very important in each import trade.Based on the Rossini type gas calorimeter,the experiment of calorific value from the perspective of energy metering of natural gas was carried out,and the details are as follows(methane is used as a substitute for natural gas in this paper):(1)Firstly,from the perspective of simulation,the accuracy and rationality of the experiment were analyzed on the basis of actual system structure.Especially for the experimental process of gas ignition,hence the whole combustion environment was constant pressure,it was very important to consider and control the pressure in the combustion chamber and determine the flow rate of methane,oxygen and argon gas.Therefore,it was necessary to draw the conclusion of numerical simulation to design the experimental scheme,which was methane can burn stably and persistently with methane flow rate of 95mL/min,oxygen flow rate of 160mL/min,and argon flow rate of 440mL/min,and complete combustion of methane could be ensured during the whole process.(2)Secondly,this paper completed the experimental study of methane combustion based on the numerical simulation,which aimed to analyze whether the three types of gas flow in the burner were reasonable.The results confirm the correctness of the settings of gas flows in the numerical simulation.According to the experimental phenomena,the burner has been improved several times.And some influence factors were also eliminated,such as fire escape,tempering and instability.(3)Finally,after assembling the complete experimental device,the temperature uniformity test and electrical calibration were finished.The experiment of temperature uniformity test was carried out to analyze the factors that influence the uniformity of ambient temperature in the experiment,and an improvement scheme to improve the temperature uniformity was proposed.The heat capacity of the calorimeter is 19023J/K,the uncertainty of the heat capacity of the calorimeter is28J/K,and the relative uncertainty is 0.15%(k=2),which were measured by the electrical calibration.
