With the rapid development of computer industry and information technology,the demand for soft magnetic powder cores is increasing and performance requirements are constantly improving.As a near net forming manufacturing technology,powder metallurgy has many advantages,such as high efficiency,material saving,energy saving,environmental protection and so on.It is the main process to prepare metal soft magnetic powder core.The FeSiAl magnetic cores produced by powder metallurgy process have low cost and excellent performance,so they are widely used in the field of information.This paper mainly studies the pressing and forming of FeSiAl magnetic core.Based on the MSC.Marc finite element software,the pressing forming process of pancake press is simulated.The evolution and distribution of the physical parameters such as the relative density,the equivalent stress and the force and energy parameters of the blank are analyzed,and the flow status of the powder particles is also analyzed.The influence of pressing method,friction condition and pressing surface pressure on the density distribution of blanks is compared.The study shows that the average density increases with the increase of pressing surface pressure,but the density difference becomes larger,and the effect of increasing density uniformity is little,the better the lubrication conditions,the higher the density of the billet and the better the uniformity.In this paper,an experimental device for pressing the cake like FeSiAl magnetic powder core was designed,and the pretreated FeSiAl powder was formed by unidirectional compression forming experiment.The pressure,friction force and the circumferential strain of the outer surface of the die were measured.By comparing with the finite element simulation results,the change curve of the bulging force in the pressing process is obtained.The relationship between the three kinds of pressing force,friction force and die force is established,and the influence of the pressing process parameters,such as powder amount and powder particle size,on the force and energy parameters of the pressing process is analyzed.The experiment shows that the pressure between the pressed surface and the force of the die is linear,and the particle size has little effect on the force of the die bulge,and the friction force is proportional to the friction area,and the smaller the particle size,the greater the friction force.According to the test results of the integral density and the axial stratification density obtained by Archimedes principle,the influence of pressing process parameters,such as pressing surface pressure,loading amount and powder size,on the density distribution of press blank is analyzed.The experimental results show that the pressing surface pressure is the main parameter to increase the density of the blank,and the bulk density and the size of the powder are not conducive to the increase of the density of the blank.The large pressing surface pressure,the small amount of powder and the size of the powder are not conducive to the uniform distribution of the axial density of the press.
