Valve body forgings are important connections in oil production equipment,which require higher mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.Multi-ram die forging technology is used for the production of valve body forgings,which can increase the material utilization rate and production efficiency while ensuring the integrity of metal flow line.In this paper,the numerical simulation and experimental methods are used to study the force parameters and temperature field in multi-ram die forging of valve body forgings.In this paper,DEFORM-3D is used to simulate the multi-ram die forging process of valve body forgings with inner hole and no inner hole,the forming force,the expansion force and the evolution of the temperature field of forgings and molds during the forming process are analyzed.The influences of the ratio of height to diameter,punching inner diameter,diameter of side boss,forming speed,and parting method on the forming force and the expanding force in the forming process,and the temperature field of the die and forging at the end of the forging were studied.In this paper,a combined multi-ram die forging experiment device with different diameters of side bosses was designed and prepared.Pre-tightening of the split and combined die was realized by using a prestressed tie bar structure.On the 5MN hydraulic press,the lead simulation test of the multi direction forging of the valve body was carried out.The forming process of the forgings under the different height diameter ratio was tested.The change curve of the forming force with the stroke was obtained by the self-made pressure sensor,and the change curve of the expansion force with the stroke was obtained by measuring the tension of the prestressed pull rod.The experimental results are in good agreement with the numerical simulation results.Aiming at the problem of high temperature of main punch in multi-directional die forging,the effect of cooling water channel on punch head temperature field in main punch is studied.The STAR CCM+ fluid analysis software is used to simulate the convection heat transfer coefficient on the surface of the cooling water channel,and the influence of the flow velocity on the convective heat transfer coefficient is analyzed.On this basis,the appropriate cooling water velocity is determined by the thermal coupling analysis of the forging process.
