Effects of foreign direct investment and environmental pollution are examined using the panel data of 228 prefecture-level cities in China in 2003-2014.This paper pick industrial waste water, industrial sulfur dioxide, industrial fumes emissions as the indicators of environmental pollution.Firstly,Using?69?,?69??90?(6,to analyze the relationship between FDI and environment pollution on global analysis.Secondly, choosing local?69?,and LISA figure for autocorrelation analysis,to judge the performance of FDI and environment pollution in the aspect of spatial agglomeration. Finally, using maximum likelihood estimation?ML?method, and setting up spatial panel model,to test the regional characteristics and its spatial spillover effects on FDI and three kinds of emissions of China. Results show that:?1?There is significant spatial autocorrelation between FDI and three types of environmental pollutants in China's prefecture-level cities.the?69?,of FDI concentrate0.3 to 0.5,and the environmental pollution distributes between 0.3 to 0.5.?2?The high-value aggregation area of FDI is generally the high-value aggregation area of industrial wastewater and industrial sulfur dioxide, and is the low-value aggregation area of industrial smoke.?3?The relationship of FDI and three kinds of pollutants is an"U"curve, and they have passed the extreme point and are beginning to decrease with the increase in FDI inflows.?4?From regional level, the relationship between FDI and industry waste water, industrial SO2,industrial fumes in east of China, respectively is"U","linear","U"curve. In the Midwest,There is an inverted u-shaped curve, and the results are consistent with the national level, but there is a difference in significance.?5?There is a"N"type of relationship between economic growth and industrial waste water discharge, the curve of industrial SO2 and industrial fumes is respectively the"inverted U","N",and the two types of pollutants will eventually reduce with the development of the economy. Therefore, governments at all levels should formulate targeted policies on pollution control, and vigorously develop green and recycled economy.
