As a kind of hard-to-process material,stainless steel has many excellent features,such as high strength and rigidity,good abrasion resistance and strong corrosion resistance.How to improve the surface quality is a major technical problem of stainless steel processing,and it is difficult to meet the requirements of common processing methods.The tool and workpiece in ultrasonic vibration turning can be periodically contacted and separated.The cutting force and cutting heat significantly reduced,the workpiece surface quality significantly improved.This method can be used as an effective method of processing stainless steel materials.The ultrasonic vibration turning process of stainless steel is studied in this paper,The study includes:(1)The mathematical model of right-angle turning is established,and the data of turning force is obtained by Matlab programming.On this basis,finite element model of right-angle turning is established by Abaqus software,the experimental data in the literature are used for verification.(2)The ultrasonic vibration turning model is obtained on the basis of finite element model of right-angle turning.Through the integration of Abaqus with Isight,the tool geometry and cutting parameters during ultrasonic vibration turning are optimized by Evol evolutionary algorithm,the reasonable rake angle,relief angle and reasonable vibration frequency,amplitude and cutting speed are obtained.(3)The maximum MISES stress under different cutting parameters was obtained by using Isight and Abaqus integration and the optimal Latin hypercube design method.Using the response surface method to fit the data.Based on the relationship between tool wear and cutting force,the reliability function of reliability analysis is constructed.Using AFSOM method and Monte Carlo method to calculate the reliability of the system and the sensitivity of mean value and standard deviation of design variables in failure probability,got the influence of cutting speed,vibration frequency and amplitude on the cutting surface quality of ultrasonic vibration cutting process.
