The phase change thermal-regulation fabrics means a fabrics that possess smart response to external environmental temperature.At present,the preparation methods of phase change thermal-regulation fabrics mainly include spinning,hollow fiber and after-treatment method.The process is complicated,the conditions are harsh,the latent heat is low,and the fabric is subjected to performance?such as Strong,hand feeling,air permeability and moisture permeability,etc.?have a large impact on their problems which limits their application and development.Based on this,this topic proposes a new idea,the direct application of UV-curing technology on the fabric In-situ polymerization to prepare phase change thermal-regulation fabrics.The method has the characteristics of simple process,energy saving and environmental friendliness,and expands the range of phase change materials in practical application fields.The major work of this study could be summarized as three aspects,?1?:preparing In-situ UV-curing working emulsion by using n-tetradecyl alcohol as phase change material,methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate as wall materials,by using emulsion polymerization,and optimizie the emulsifier and photoinitiaor's types and amounts,by optimizing the photoinitiaor monomer's and the core-wall's ratio and emulsification condition.?2?Using impregnation method,The In-situ UV-curing work emulsion is prepared onto the textile by dipping method,and the phase change thermal-regulation fabric is prepared by studying the ultraviolet light illumination time and the illumination distance.Filed emission scanning electron microscopy?FE-SEM?,differential scanning calorimetry?DSC?,thermal gravimetric analysis?TGA?,Fourier infrared spectrometer?FTIR?,Thermal infrared imager,Fabric style instrument,Automatic air permeability meter and so on were applied to characterize the surface morphology,thermal properties,chemical composition,temperature-regul ation property,handle and air permeability.?3?Adding nano-SiO2 to the In-situ UV-curing work emulsion to prepare an enhanced phase change thermostat fabric,The surface morphology,latent heat performance,thermal properties and Wash fastness of the phase change thermal-regulation fabrics were characterized by SEM,DSC and TG.The research results show that:?1?The optimized formulation and preparation conditions of the In-situ UV-curing work emulsion are as follows:monomer BA:MMA ratio is 4:1,core-wall ratio is 1:1;total emulsifier concentration is 7%,and the emulsifier Span80-Tween80-CTAB is selected.The compounding ratio is 31.5%,62.5%and 6%respectively;the emulsification speed is 2500 rpm;the photoinitiator is AIBN,the concentration is 1%;?2?The UV-curing process is as follows:the illumination time is 120 min and the illumination distance is 20 cm.Under the modified process conditions,the monomer copolymer coats the phase change material on the surface of the fiber in the form of film formation,which effectively inhibits the leakage of the phase change material.The temperature adjustment range of the phase change thermostat fabric ranges from 22°C to 34°C,between 36°C and 42°C and the latent heat value of phase change is 35.10 J/g,which has good thermal stability.?3?The addition of 5%nano-SiO2?relative to the total mass of the monomer?effectively enhances the compactness and coating of the wall material,and significantly improves the latent heat,thermal stability and washability of the phase change thermal-regulation fabric.
