Vertical vault tank is widely used in various industries,especially in medium storage in petroleum and petrochemical industry.Both refined oil and crude oil are stored with this structure.As an important oil storage equipment,vertical storage tanks are prone to volatilize flammable gases because of their internal storage medium.If accidental factors act as "ignition source",the explosion of storage tanks will occur,resulting in casualties and property losses.This paper calculates the explosive load of combustible gas combustion in the tank,analyses the structural response of the tank under explosive impact load and verifies it by experiment.Combining with the transient failure mechanism and failure condition of the tank structure,the weak roof of the tank is judged and optimized to meet the performance of the weak roof.The specific research work is as follows:Reduce the tank to experimental tank according to the principle of similarity in proportion,design the experimental scheme,ignite and explode the experimental tank,test the data of different liquid level and different ignition position,monitor the pressure,temperature,displacement and strain of different positions in the tank under various working conditions.The numerical simulation of the experimental tank under implosion load is carried out,and the explosion load model of combustible gas in the experimental tank is established by using computational fluid dynamics(CFD)method.The explosion load in the tank is calculated,and the pressure and temperature distribution in the tank are obtained.By means of multi-field coupling method,the structural response of the tank is analyzed,and the stress and deformation of the tank are obtained.The numerical simulation results are compared with the experimental data to verify the accuracy of the numerical simulation.Using the numerical simulation method mentioned above,the models of storage tanks with different volumes are established.Under the different conditions of changing the liquid level height and the position of the initiation point,the numerical simulation of storage tanks is carried out,and the pressure and temperature in the tank,the stress and deformation of the tank body are obtained.Combining with the transient failure mechanism and failure condition of the tank structure,the failure modes of the tank under different working conditions are analyzed.Introducing the method of judging the performance of weak roof of storage tank,evaluating the weak roof of storage tank,and analyzing the influencing factors of the weak roof of storage tank.The optimum design of reducing the top wall of tank and strengthening the bottom wall of tank is carried out,so that the improved tank has weak roof performance under any working conditions.
