Landfill leachate is characterized by complex properties such as high chroma,high pollutant concentration,poor biodegradability,which pose great threat to the environment.Hybrid Anaerobic Baffled Reactor(HABR)is an effective method for high concentration wastewater treatment and control with the advantages of effective,strong shock resistance and low cost.This thesis focuses on a study about the landfill leachate of Lao HC refuse landfill in Shenyang,using the HABR for experimental research.Firstly,based on the previous study,reactor development and experimental system had been finished.HABR had been started under the condition of 1.0 kg/(m3·d),30?,24h HRT(Hydraulic Retention Time)with simulation of water distribution,with the research of the change of basicity,VFA(Volatile Fatty Acid),pH and ORP(Oxidation-Reduction Potential).When inflow COD(Chemical Oxygen Demand)was 10000 mg/L,after running 45 days,effluent COD was 474mg/L,COD removal rate was 95.3%,which indicate that the reactor started up.It was found that outflow-water VFA would leapted to 136 mg/L when Volumetric load increased to 15.0 kgCOD/(m3·d),which made the system acidified quite easily.Secondly,the experiment used HABR to deal with landfill leachate and studied the effect of temperature,HRT and ammonia concentration of inflow-water on reactor efficiency.When HABR treated landfill leachate without pretreatment under the conditions of 30? and 24h HRT,COD removal rate was steadily 82.3%,rate of gas production was 4.3L/h and gas generation rate was 0.31 m3/kg COD,which indicated that treating landfill leachate with HABR was efficient.It was found that temperature had great effects on reactor treatment efficiency.COD removal rate declined by 40%and the rate of gas production declined by 60%when temperature descended to 10?from 30?.The performance of HABR was stable in a certain load range;Organic loading shock to HABR from HRT changes influence dominance degree of acidogenic bacteria and methanogens which made the reactor show up different operating characterwastics.Ammonia concentration would have a strong influence on COD removal rate when Ammonia concentration exceeded 2500 mg/L.In this case,landfill leachate needed pretreatment before anaerobic treatment.Finally,optimized the operation parameters according to the Central-Composite Design considered COD removal efficiency and EDR as response to paid attention to the energy efficiency.COD removal rate was 80.16%and EDR was 224.675 gCOD/(kW-h)under the optimal parameter combination that temperature was 29.14?and HRT was 21.04h.
