With the proposition of low-carbon,green and other manufacturing paradigms,sustainable manufacturing infuses with new vitality.To vigorously develop sustainable manufacturing is unhesitating for manufacturing industry.Additive manufacturing has shown great potentials in responding to sustainable manufacturing with its unique forming mechanism,and it has attracted more attentions from domestic and international enterprises and scholars in recent years.As one of the most important and widely used additive manufacturing processes,Selective Laser Melting(SLM)is becoming more popular.However,at present,SLM is mainly used for single-piece small batch production,when considering it into mass production,,it is still an immature technology,which reflects in the high uncertainty in time and cost.At present,the application of additive manufacturing industry is still under primary stage,different additive manufacturing processes have different forming gap,and unified standard has not been formed,it is even more difficult to predict and optimize the printing cost.For a specific additive manufacturing process,there is no accurate time and cost predictive model.Hence,this paper selects the process of SLM as object,analyzes the cost of activities and the impact parameters involved during the printing process based on experiment and theory,and amends the traditional laser scanning time prediction model based on volume,puts forward a laser scanning time prediction model based on shape complexity,and finally establishs a more rapid and accurate SLM process cost prediction model,provides data and process cost calculation method for early design stage.The main work this paper done is stated as follows,firstly,introduces the research background and research significance of the paper,reviews the research status of the additive manufacturing costs domestic and foreign,analyzes the shortcoming of the current additive manufacturing cost prediction model,and elaborated the research contents,research methods and chapter arrangement of paper;Secondly,introduces the printing process of SLM in detail,decomposes the costs involved in the printing process from two dimensions of process flow and cost type,analyzes the cost influencing factors of each activity,and determines the needs of modeling of laser scanning time;Thirdly,designs relevant experiments and analyzes the relevant data analysis from the perspective of model geometry parameters and printing process parameters,to determine the characteristic parameters that have an impact on laser scanning time;Lastly,uses two methods of regression algorithm and neural network algorithm to build predicting model through selected feature parameter,builds laser scanning time prediction model and printing process cost prediction model based on the shape complexity of model,and analyzes the sensitivity of different parameters through relevant case for the optimization of the cost.This paper proposes a scanning prediction model based on model shape complexity from SLM experiments,and forms a cost allocation strategy based on volume and model shape complexity,clarify the significant degree of the impact of parameters on cost,provides a good data reference for SLM related research.Besides,the data-driven laser scanning prediction model and the process cost model proposed in this paper have certain reference significance for the cost prediction and calculation of other additive manufacturing.
