Application Of Intelligent Packaging Technology In Food Packaging Design

As a carrier and protector of food,packaging has become an inseparable and important part.Food safety issues have always received much public attention,and food packaging has a decisive value.With the advancement of the times,the rapid development of various technologies and the increasing demand for packaging functions by consumers have made the functional utility of traditional food packaging appear singular.Food packaging design circulating in the market should no longer stick to the rules and apply,and this requires the practitioners of the packaging industry to find a breakthrough in the replacement of food packaging.In recent years,thanks to the emergence of intelligent packaging,the innovation of packaging design has found a direction,but also brought more possibilities for food packaging.Intelligent packaging is a fusion of intelligent packaging technology and packaging art design to promote the transformation and upgrading of the packaging industry.Intelligent packaging technology involves many fields such as physics,chemistry,and computer,and can achieve multiple functions such as intelligent packaging structure,intelligent packaging materials,and intelligent packaging information.Effectively applying food-related intelligent packaging technology to food packaging design can extend the shelf life of food,help consumers make judgments about food safety status,and obtain more information about food.This paper elaborates and classifies the existing intelligent packaging technology,and extracts and studies the technology that can be applied to food packaging design.Analyze and explore the function of packaging technology in the form of artistic design,and integrate intelligent packaging technology with art design to maximize the value of both.Finally,with the fresh packaging as the design case,the design practice activities were carried out in three aspects: intelligent indicator label design,active packaging design,and food traceable packaging design.A set of design cases with reference value of intelligent packaging technology applied to food packaging is proposed.
