U-section side arc strip part with a certain curvature in the longitudinal direction are widely used on the structural parts of the car.which are different from the right and left symmetrical U-section straight strip parts.Because of the asymmetry of parts,the complexity of forming and geometric constraints,the springback deformation is more complex,resulting in low forming accuracy.Especially,the application of high-strength steel enhances springback and increases the forming inaccuracy.By means of theoretical analysis,numerical simulation and physical experiment,this paper studies the springback causes of U-section side arc strip parts,clarifies the effects of different parameters on twist springback and angle springback,and puts forward springback control strategy,which can provide reference for the actual production process of car structural parts.Firstly,based on the forming characteristics of U-section side arc strip parts,through theoretical analysis and using Dynaform numerical simulation software,the deformation zone in the forming process is divided,and the tangential stress distribution of flange deformation zone and corner deformation zone are emphatically analyzed.Through the distribution of equivalent stress before and after unloading,the spring back form and the main factors affecting springback are analyzed,and the causes of twist springback and section angle springback after unloading are clarified.Secondly,through the combination of theory and simulation,the causes of twist springback are analyzed in detail,and the characterization method of overall twist springback is put forward,and the changing trend of twist springback along the section position is clarified.The reason of section angle springback is analyzed,and the springback magnitude of four angles on the middle section and the change trend of section angle springback along the length direction are clarified.With the method of numerical simulation,the effects of main geometric factors and process parameters on the overall twist springback and cross-section angle springback of the parts are analyzed respectively,and the springback under different parameters is obtained.Finally,the physical experiments are carried out to verify the springback.Finally,the strategy of controlling and reducing springback is put forward.For specific parts,the appropriate process parameters are selected,and the original die is modified to control springback with error feedback surface compensation technology,which achieves good results.The springback causes of U-section side arc strip parts,the effects of different parameters on overall twist springback and cross-section angle springback,as well as the springback control strategy,which will provide valuable reference for the actual production of car structural parts.
