In recent years,the research and development of leather fatliquors has developed in the direction of multifunctional bonding,in which fatty alcohol ether phosphate fatliquors has become one of the research hotspots.Gemini fatty alcohol ether phosphate surfactant consist of two hydrophilic chains and two hydrophobic chains.It has excellent emulsifying,penetrating and antistatic properties.It is a good idea to introducing the design idea of Gemini surfactant into leather production,it will facilitate the development and application of Gemini alcohol ether phosphate fatliquors.This topic develops a new type of bonded leather fatliquor based on fatty alcohol ether phosphates.First,the intermediate was prepared by alcoholysis of phosphorus oxychloride as phosphorylating agent and diol as raw material in the system in which tetrahydrofuran was used as solvent.Then,it was esterified with C1214214 and C1618618 mixed fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether.Finally,a series of Gemini fatty alcohol ether phosphate was prepared by hydrolysis and neutralization.The structure was characterized by FTIR and 1H-NMR,and the relationship between the surface activity and structure of the product was discussed in detail.The results show that with the increase of EO number in alcohol ether and C number in fatty alcohol ether structure,the average particle size of the product decreases first and then increases in water system.When the C number in binding group increase to a certain extent,the molecular weight of the product increases.When it is enlarged,a double dispersion system appears in the water,the dispersion is uneven,the particle size of the emulsion increases.The prepared series of products have good emulsion stability and emulsifying ability and can be applied to the fatliquoring process of leather.With the increase of EO number in alcohol ether structure,the affinity between surfactant and oil molecules decreases,and the emulsifying ability decreases.Among them,AEO-9series Gemini phosphate has the best emulsifying ability,and when the EO number is 12,the fatliquoring ability of the products is the worst.The surface activity of surfactant decreased and the critical micelle concentration increased with the increase of the number of C in phosphate ester.The critical micelle concentrations of 10-O-3P,10-O-6P,6-O-10P,and 10-O-12P are 10.5×10-5mol/L,9×10-5mol/L,and9×10-5mol/L,7.5×10-5mol/L.With the increase of EO number in alcohol ether,the critical micelle concentration of surfactant decreases and the surface activity increases gradually when the number of C in the coupling group is the same.The critical micelle concentrations of 2-O-10P,4-O-10P,6-O-12P,and 10-O-12P are 7.5×10-5mol/L,7.5×10-5mol/L,and9×10-5mol/L,7.5×10-55 mol/L,exhibits good surface activity.The series of Gemini phosphate ester surfactant was applied to the fatliquoring experiment of leather.The relationship between fatliquoring performance and the structure of fatliquoring agent was discussed by measuring the softness,mechanical property,moisture permeability and antistatic property of the leather.The experimental results show that the physical and mechanical properties of leather after fatliquoring have a regular change.The general trend is that the tensile strength and tear strength of the leather increase first and then decrease with the increase of the number of C in the binder.When the number of C in fatliquoring agent is 4,the mechanical properties of the fatliquoring green leather are the best.The tensile and tear strength of fatted leather decreased with the increase of EO number in the structure of phosphate ester.When the number of EO in alcohol ether was 3,the mechanical properties of crust leather were the best.The structure of fatliquoring agent had little effect on the softness of crust leather,and the softness of crust leather after fatliquoring was more than 9.0.With the increase of the number of C in fatliquoring agent and the number of EO in alcohol ether,the binding ability between fatliquoring agent and leather fiber decreased,and the vapor permeability of crust leather decreased.The effect of the change of EO number in alcohol ether on the antistatic property of greased leather was much more than that of C number in the bonding group.The results showed that the properties of 4-O-3P fatliquoring agent were the best.In order to further verify the relationship between the structure of the fatliquor and the performance,the experiment also prepared O-3P monoalkyl fatty alcohol ether phosphate and compared with 4-O-3P Gemini fatty alcohol ether phosphate.The results show that O-3P has smaller emulsion particle and sizehigher CMC and lower surface activity than 4-O-3P,and the absorption capacity of leather for 4-O-3P fatliquor is greater than that of O-3P,and the performance of the leather is better.Because the prepared series of Gemini fatty alcohol ether phosphate fatliquor does not contain neutral oil,the leather is relatively dry after fatliquoring,so the fatliquoring agent was mixed according to the ratio of m4-O-3P?m??=3?7 and compared with 4-O-3P fatliquoring agent.The results showed that with the addition of 32#white oil,the crust leather was fuller and softer,and the mechanical properties,sanitary properties and antistatic properties were also improved.
